My husband and I just came back from the hotel last night. We got a great deal through Expedia and it was worth every penny. We arrived at 9:45am on Sat 4/1 and they checked us in right away. Although the check in time is either 3 or 4, they were able to accommodate us immediately. In addition, we requested and non smoking king size bed room which is exactly what we got. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets, comforter and pillows were super comfy. The bathroom was nice, very very clean which is really important to me. Since the hotel is not on the beach, there really are no views. Maybe the higher floors have some type of a view but our room (315) did not. It just overlooked some buildings and part of the pool. The pool was very warm. The food at the hotel was really good. We ordered room service for dinner on Sunday night and the food was delicious. I had shrimp cocktail and the shrimps were huge. I also had the filet mignon which was awesome. The maid service was great, you had a choice, either get fresh sheets or just have them make the bed, same with the towels, if you wanted new ones; you put the used ones on the floor. Now for some negatives.......as the hotel is on a main road, so is the pool. It was not relaxing at all as on Sat and Sun, all of the motorcycles were out and it was so loud that even my ipod didn’t help. On Mon, it was not as bad, I guess more people were working rather than cruising. Also, the whirlpool was broken. I think they were fixing it on Mon. In addition, I thought that the room was slightly on the dark side. Although there were 5 lamps, it was kind of dark. Lastly, the water pressure in the bathroom was not terrible but it wasn't that great either. Over all, I think that this is a great place to stay. It’s clean, comfortable, the staff is very accommodating, the pool is nice and it’s very affordable.

We stayed here one night after a cruise. Booked 4* through Priceline - we got it cheaper than the going rate. Very clean, friendly staff. $10 cab ride from the cruise port and $10 cab ride to the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

Paid $200/night during season. Hotel sold out. Hotel staff professional. I would like to address the two poor reviews posted on this site. First, we drove from our home to the hotel. I was a little nervous about this as I had read the poor review about parking. When we pulled up the valet offered to take our car when we said we were self parking he handed us a card to use for their parking garage. Cost $14/day. No getting around that. Secondly, we arrived at 4pm and had a room available. However, we had our children with us and requested a rollaway. They stated they do not place rollaways in the 2 queen bed rooms. Luckily my son always has his sleeping bag and doesn't mind the floor. Things to do if your room is not ready: Take the water Taxi $10.00 and cruise the Canals or take the water taxi to Las Olas and enjoy the day. The water taxi is about a 2 block walk. We also ate at Carlos and Peppe's (2 block walk). Very good. Last but not least the hotel rooms with odd numbers have a view of the pool, city, and fuel storage tanks. Even number rooms overlook cruise ships and ocean. Enjoy your stay!

I am surprised to see so many good reviews of this hotel as it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. The staff was unaccommodating and unprofessional. I was hung up on more than once and the wireless internet access did not work. The business center computers were awfully slow. There was no manager on duty to speak with. The fitness center is a non entity. There are no clearly marked signs for the business center. (Colleagues and I went to the 2nd floor for the business center based upon signage). I can't imagine that people stay here on vacation. Service is terrible all around. The only positive is the bed was comfortable.

I've stay at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my stay. Found the staff to be very accommodating and professional. Love to stay on 17th Street Causeway area; walkable to Convention Center, shopping centers and water bus pick up. Also right across the street you can catch the bus to the beach which is less than 2 miles. There is no parking in front of the hotel, but you can self-park in the parking garage or valet.
