We stayed at the Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale for one night in November. I was greeted by a very friendly staff, that was very accomodating. Our room was on the 5th floor, with a fabulous view of the beach. The room was clean as far as the bathroom and bedding, however, it was in major need of a renovation. The furniture was old and scratched, there were water stains running down the wall from the airconditioning vent, some stains on the carpet. The price was right, as was the location so we didn't fuss about it, but I would have been dissapointed if we were staying for a longer time. Overall, if you're in town for the night and don't plan on being in the room too much, it should suit you just fine. Behind the hotel is where the self parking is. Not so bad, however the only way to get back into the hotel other than walking around the block is to use the back enterance through the courtyard where the pool is.

Booked this through Site59 last minute trips. Surprised at the cleanliness - bath had no mold, room smelled fine. Pool was a bit small but all-in-all, not bad for a great price. Right across from the beach too.

We were not looking forward to our stay after reading the previous reports, but we were more than happy with our room 1015, it had two huge beds, fridge and the best view ever. I agree that some of the furniture is a bit old but our room was spotless and cleaned every day, fresh towels every day. We had our 10 year old son with us and we did not find the surrounding area to be seedy as some people had mentioned, lighten up your on holiday!! The staff at the hotel were very helpfull especially Sebastian and Ken, when we had a problem with the parking. At the end of the day if you want 5* go elsewhere and pay for it. I would definately stay here again. And yes you have got to try the 24hour pizza place next door........

Our stay at the hotel was a pretty good experience.Rooms are what to be expected of a Holiday Inn.We stayed there in January, hotel seemed 1/2 empty, but rates were high and that's with entertainment book discount.On site restaurant is not that great for breakfast, better and cheaper to have your morning eggs at the pizza shop on the corner (same block as the hotel).Cute local reataurants within 2 blocks from the hotel.One of them is set up like a sports bar/tavern.Pool was heated, which was great since it gets chilly even in South Florida in January.
