We went here for our honeymoon and we stayed in a clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed on the 9th floor and we had a beautiful view. This room was very good for the rates we received and we enjoyed it. We did not go to the pool, but we saw it everytime we went to our vehicle since you have to go there to get to the $10 a night parking across the street. The $10 a night parking is a little of a joke since it is not for the hotel exclusively. They allow other people to park there for the same rate and so if you want to make sure you have a parking space - you have to get back to the hotel early. We enjoyed being right across the street from the beach - it was absolutely beautiful. The water was so clear. The front desk was helpful and very nice. We only had the maids in our room twice because we had a do not disturb sign up, but they cleaned very well. One problem was the tub clogged up the first night there and we left a note for the maids and they didn't get maintenance to fix it, so we dealt with a clogged tub the whole week. Any souvenir shopping and food is within a couple of blocks. My husband and I took a walk a couple miles up the beach and came down on A1A and went through all the tourism areas. I would probably stay there again, I enjoyed my stay - maybe it is because we were on our honeymoon who knows. The hotel needs a facelift and it would definitely help.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights back in 1998 and it was wonderful. We had an ocean front room with an incredible view and coffee from room service every morning. We met some friends for a get together in July of 2006 and decided to go back based on our prior experience. This time however was not as good as the last time.

The room we were in was off to the side with a partial ocean view. The room has a slight odor and the carpet had large stains in several places. We asked to be moved and was told they are booked solid and in the process of renovating so there was nothing else available. The size of the room is adequate a king bed, small sofa and desk.

Our room connected with another and the guests next door a man and a woman left their t.v. on full blast starting at 10 p.m. At midnight I called the desk to see if they could ask the couple to turn down their t.v. The room was empty with no repsonse to the calls and knocks we made on the door. The lady at the desk was very apologetic and stated that the security guard hasn't arrived to work yet and she would have him to up there as soon as he arrived. Over an hour later I called again and was told the guard still hadn't shown up for work and she was alone and not able to leave the desk. She stated she was sorry and would leave a note for the manager who gets in at 7:00 a.m. The security guard did show up eventually and opened the room and turned off the t.v. around 2 a.m. I had just drifted off to sleep around 4:00 a.m. and heard the couple return. They were very loud and kept us up until after 6:00 a.m.

They comped us $20.00 off our room and apologized for the inconvenience. We had coffee delivered from room service for about $6.00. There is no free breakfast here. There was a large water bottle in the room but there was a tag attached to it that said the room would be charged 2.99 it the bottle was opened. We also had to pay 9.99 for parking. I believe this is a nightly rate and is in a garage which is behind the hotel. The hotel is near a seedy part of town with bars and tattoo parlors near the garage.

I do not think I will stay here again. There are better hotels out there.

We booked this hotel prior to embarking on a beautiful Carribean cruise; our previous experience of staying in Holiday Inns has been very good and we were taken aback by this one. For a start, it is located in a very seedy and run down part of town and some of the dregs one sees around the hotel, can be quite disconcerting.
The hotel itself is very tired looking and could do with some money being spent on it; it is dingy, dark and very dillapidated. The corridor on our floor had not been cleaned and there was food on the floor.
We could not get out of there fast enough; what an experience.

staff very helpful & friendly, moved us after two nights as we had party people all around us,even gave us a free buffet breakfast for our grief, breakfast is good but pricey, area around the hotel is seedy at best including the homeless guy that sleeps in the small park between the hotel & the beach, hotel sits at a major intersection and it is quite noisy (not hotel's fault) rooms were clean but whole place needs a facelift & beds on the hard side, they sell large bottles of water in the room, we didn't buy any but they tried to charge us anyway, if you need a cheap car rental for a day or two triple AAA car rental is a short walk and they'll give you a good deal, pool area quite small & bland but you do have the ocean across the street ,galleria mall is a 10 minute walk on Sunrise Blvd. pizza place next door to hotel is nothing fancy but food is great

  • Liked — across street from beach, rooms have nice view
  • Disliked — location somewhat isolated as far as restaurants & shopping etc. area around hotel grubby
  • Tips/Secrets: — have a car but be prepared to spend $9.55 daily to park there
