When we arrived we were offered a non smoking room on the 9th floor. The check in was easy and very fast. The front desk staff was courteous and went out of their way to offer us as much information as possible. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, so its very convenient and the hotel offers beach towels. The hotel swimming pool is very small cannot do any laps. The hotel staff was exceptional. We requested extra towels each day and they arrived promptly from housekeeping. The view from the 9th floor was breathtaking.

The negatives we found were that the bathrooms are old and need to be renovated. We realized the bathtub was not cleaned because the sand from the beach would still be there after housekeeping had apparently cleaned the room. It would be nice if the bathtubs & bathroom facilities were scrubbed more often. The hotel needs to offer a better coffee pot that is faster and makes more than one cup of coffee at a time. We had breakfast at the Paradise grill on the premises but the buffet offered & breakfast was just lukewarm. It would be great if the food were kept hot consistently.

We would stay at the hotel again at the rate we paid.

The negatives- The room & hallways are dirty, some of the front desk staff is rude & lacks basic customer service skills, HBO was out all week, & you get a tremendous amount of street noise at night.
Positives- Nice lobby & pool area (the pool is small), most of the staff is very friendly, good location/proximity to a nicer area of the beach, nice proximity to restaurants Primanti Bros & Bluefish Cafe and grocery store & laundry.

A little far to walk to Las Olas shops but close enough to get to Beach Place, Elbo Room, etc.

I would stay there again but only if I got a great rate. There is a reason that a number of travelers have had bad experiences.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here July 6-8. The over all hotel was nice and the staff was pretty friendly. Our room smelled slightly musty but was tolerable and the view was beautiful. All in all it is not a bad hotel. It is in a great location and very easy to find. Pros- great view, nice staff, great location Cons- very small pool, musty room, and $10.00 per night parking.

Absolutely terrible. Hotel is in a run down condition. Complained, and left after one night. Hotel then abused my credit card, after agreeing to only charge for one night. Holiday Inn don't want to know. This is only a franchise, and we met others who were equally appalled. Why can this not be stopped. I suggest a boycott of HIs, until they take an interest.
