Description: mojo has food, spiritual and sexual connotations and after one visit, you too can attest to the fact that the restaurant is quite aptly named. Chef owned and operated, Domenick Falcione has not only created an inviting space to go with his creative food but his second passion, abstract art, allows visitors to experience his work between bites. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, full service bar with signature martinis, a botiquey wine list and specials that change daily keep both new and returning costumers excited.

“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

I've dined there each of the last two times I was in Fort Lauderdale. Funny thing is, I haven't been able to get beyond the appetizers. I find a couple of things there I really want and make a meal of it and never get to the entrees. However, I always seem to find a way to get to the hummingbird cake. Emphasis here is on quality, not quantity. But that doesn't mean portions are small unless you're used to stuffing yourself at the Golden Corral. The calamari was excellent - not the tough little rubber bands you frequently find. The escargot was the most imaginative, and I must say, most tasty I've had outside of Paris. I've had the strawberry pecan salad twice and it is out of this world. Now about that hummingbird cake... WARNING: DO NOT ORDER IT JUST FOR YOURSELF. Last time I was there was with three other people. We ordered one piece and it was sufficient. If you think you can eat it all yourself, be prepared for going into a diabetic coma! The guys that own the place and the waitstaff want to make sure you have an excellent experience. The menu is heavy on carnivore items, however, if you don't do meat, let them know and they can modify your meal to suit your requirements as everything is made to order. One caveat, the place can get a bit noisy if the bar is crowded or there is a party going on. There was live, unobtrusive music being played the Saturday evening I was there last. This has become by far my favorite place to eat in Fort Lauderdale. As Ahnold said, "I'll be back."

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Not a negative thing to say about our evening at Mojo -- drinks at the bar, then dinner. Warm greetings, lovely atmosphere, terrific food. We had specials all 'round and everything was delicious. The bartender was friendly and quick, the waiter the same, very nice live music that wasn't too loud, overall an A+. We will be back!

“Hip South Florida Ambience with very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Really liked the casual but hip vibe of this restaurant which had a really nice looking bar/lounge area. The owner, Anthony, was very friendly and welcoming and everyone in the place looked like they were enjoying themselves. We ordered off the prix fixe menu and the Scottish Salmon grilled in an Asian orange glaze over noodles with slivered vegetables was seriously good. The roasted beet salad with candied walnuts, arugula and blue cheese was a taste sensation in every bite. The service was good enough but could use a little polishing. All in all a very good restaurant that we will return to.

“Overpriced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Food not fresh and portions are small for the money. Waiters and staff not friendly. All signs point to a failing restaurant.

“Good food and good service - no so great management”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Recommended by a local guest house. Great menu and the food was good. It is a bit noisy from other tables. Our waitress was attentive and resolved any issues very quickly. Only knock was the general manager was not very friendly. I would have thought he would have been more open to honoring a prior coupon ad (provided by said guest house management) to encourage business. Not be one of the top places I would recommend to friends visiting Ft Lauderdale.
