Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

“Amazing menu and wine list”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Farm to Table cuisine. I had two appetizers: the caprese salad with some arugula, strozzapreti (choke the priest) pasta with beef cheek appetizer. They were both spectacular the pasta with the beef cheek was simple, pasta was prepared al dente in a sauce that was very light but a lot of flavor.
Served with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

“A DELIGHTFUL DINING EXPERIENCE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

I arrived early enough to beat any crowd that might develop. Some of the stools facing the bar were already occupied, mostly with the after-work folks enjoying happy hour. The remainder of the stools there would soon be taken by drinkers and diners. The bar seemed to be a people magnet.

I opted to sit in one of the dining areas. With one small exception, the tables in this restaurant are spaced far enough apart so that you can wield a fork without jousting elbows with some stranger at an adjoining table. Soft lighting. Pandora tunes piped in. Impressionist paintings here and there on walls. White table cloths. Classy environment.

I ordered an entrée of sliced duck breast. A waitperson brought me a basket of breads with a chickpea spread. Quite tasty.

The duck was cooked properly though was a bit chewy. The accompanying vegetables were tasty except for the kale. It didn't blend in as to flavor or texture. I guess it's chic nowadays to add kale to entrées.

For desert I went for the Seasonal Napoleon: "fresh berries, crispy filo dough, seasonal preserves, homemade crème fraiche." It was very tasty without being filling.

Service was excellent. My waiter, Angus, was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the restaurant and its food items.

A very enjoyable dining experience.

“Unique food and excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

We visited for the first time on Father's Day. The selection is unique and tasty. The servers are well versed in what the specials are and the menu changes almost daily based on seasonal foods. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers including steak tartare and the homemade charcuterie, and the entrees of snapper and grouper. We will return again.

This place was as advertised.. . our server Karen was amazing and attentive.

We had the Gonzalo Pastor, Ceviche, Watermelon salad, tasting dorado, watermelon gazpacho, antelope Loin which were all amazing (i loved the antelope). This place is buys so make reservations. Apparently this place has dining in dark feature which we didnt do but apparently is a big deal. We loved everything as it all seemed fresh and yummy.

Come here you wont be disappointed!
