Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

“Wish there were more restaurants like this in Ft. Lauderdale.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

A fabulous restaurant with regional dishes and locally sourced ingredients. The food is delicious. The appetizers are quite generous and are really 3/4 the size of an entree. The ceviche was perfectly balanced and a generous portion. The grilled shrimp was a bit spicy. My only issue was that many of the dishes were heavy such as short ribs which is surprising for a warm weather place like Florida.

The desserts were okay and could use some tweaking.

“Nice food, but maybe too on the parking lot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Good service, nice menu, tasty food. But you are on a parking lot near a boulevard......The best option is to stay inside

“A Beautiful Evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We totally enjoyed our evening at Market 17. The restaurant is beautiful, with an outside terrace with Palm trees and a water treatment. We sat inside but the doors were open to this beautiful Terrence. The menu is innovative but it was easy for my husband a more traditional eater to find things to eat. I had the ravioli stuffed with short ribs that were outstanding. My main course was a perfectly prepared lobster out of the shell. My husband started with a delicious salad with goat cheese and beets. He then had a chicken breast which I tasted and was perfectly prepared. The selection of wines by the glass was good. Our waitress was excellent. The background music was perfect. We ended the meal and shared a baked apple in a pastry purse with caramel and ice cream. A great find!!!

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

This place blew my mind. Everything is locally produced, organic and super fresh. You can definitely taste it. Servers are very professional, attentive and they know what they are talking about. They take a lot of pride in their work, and this made me feel awesome as a guest. I had the venison with the combination of sides that was originally meant for the marinated tofu - it was a delightful sampler of Indian-inspired accompaniments including pakora and curry potatoes. The venison came with a pomegranate Demi glace that gave it a tangy kick. Chef Lauren and her team are creative and achieve a beautiful execution of their eclectic menu. My family had other dishes, including one with a beet falafel that I can still taste in my dreams. We finished the meal with a creamy creme brulee with pears. Yum! Even the music selection rocked. You can't miss this place. However, be sure that you didn't just pay rent before, because your tab can run up a bit. Worth it, though.

“Excellent”

Went here for business dinner. They offer excellent choices, and two portion options. We had 4 different entrees ordered and everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended.
