This restaurant was the only thing (well, apart from the cocktail bar upstairs) that saved my recent 3-day trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The service was excellent from start to end, each dish was beautifully prepared (including an excellent beef tartare, one of my favourite dishes). Although I didn't check the wine list myself, the wine that our party ended up selecting leaves me with no doubt it's judiciously chosen by someone who knows what they're doing.
After dinner, as we were seated outside, we finished our meal with a cigar and a few glasses of cognac, a nice luxury as we'd come from a place where it would be both illegal and too cold to do such a thing.
The only mark I could give against this restaurant is that, like every single restaurant I went to in Ft. Lauderdale, the portions are ridiculously huge. I take it this is some sort of Floridian/American thing. It's not a price thing, it's just that I like to leave dinner having tried three or four courses without feeling uncomfortably full. Some warning about the especially large items (like the otherwise delicious 954 cheesesteak) would be appreciated.
