“Monkeys and parrots”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Took a stroll around the park and saw a couple of swans and monkey hanging aroung in the trees. There was also a parrot which screamed/talked to you when walking past. 10 dollar entrance fee for the gardens alone is maybe a bit on the expensive side but still a nice park.

“Visit this if you can”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Decided to visit Bonnet House as it was in easy walking distance from our hotel. It was an unexpected delight. The house was built by an American artist from Chicago who was also an art collector. The house and gardens contain an eclectic mix of art and artefacts from the early 20th century. The tour was informative and we then walked around the lovely gardens

“hidden gem”

worth a visit just to picture what this area used to be like. Imagine buying a few beachfront acres at the turn of the century, with private gardens, monkeys, and a gorgeous estate.

“A Peek at the Past”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

The house was interesting because you can see decorating styles from the past and the construction materials used by the wealthy back then. I also like learning the personal stories of the people who lived there.
