We stayed at the Hyatt June 30-July 5th. We were pleasantly surprised how beautiful the hotel was after reading some very skeptical reviews. The minute you walk in the front door you were welcomed by a very congenial front desk, and everyone we encountered were there to serve you in anyway possible. The room we had looked right over the pool, and it was very clean and well-kept. The grounds are beautiful, and the pools were just the right temperature to swim day or night. It was in a great location, not far from the airport and the water taxi makes a pick-up right at the hotel. Taking the water-taxi is a must. It is a great way to see the city, and it is fun to hear some of the history regarding the homes in the area. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone, so disregard the reviews and enjoy yourself at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six!

I must say after reading reviews, I was a little uneasy about our stay at Hyatt. After following suggestions of other travelers and asking for an upgrade to a renovated room the stay was great. I would def- do it again.

I was very concerned about staying at this hotel after reading all of the not so great reviews just recently. I took the advise of one of the reviewers and asked for an updated Lanai room. Luckily, my request was granted and there was no problem at check in whatsoever. I booked through Priceline and was a little concerned b/c when confirming my reservation w/ Hyatt customer service, the representative was a bit abrupt and seemed resistant in having anything to do with "priceline customers". She suggested that I should call priceline to request bed size, smoking preference, etc. I tried explaining that the Hyatt was responsible for that portion of the transaction to no avail. When I asked to speak to the front desk manager she hung up on me! LOL!

Anyway, the hotel was much better than that one person that I encountered initially. Room was updated, clean, poolfront view. Check in was friendly and quick. Grounds were very nice. Neatly manicured gardens and courtyards. Pool was nice, although one of the pools was closed for repairs. All employees I encountered were friendly and courteous. Parking and Resort fee are very expensive at $15 and $12 each.

Overall, a very nice stay with Hyatt Pier 66.

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Hyatt and we were very pleased. I must say we were a bit nervous after reading all the reviews. We checked into the hotel at 11:00 am and the desk staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We had requested a tower room and was told they would do what they could to get us in early. Within an hour they called my cell phone to tell me the room was ready. The room was on the 14th floor and the view was spectacular. The room was newly renovated and the bed was so comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful, from the bell man, bartenders, maids, waitresses. Everyone was more than willing to help and very friendly. My husband was there on business and I was there for a mini vacation. We travel frequently and did not experience one problem with this hotel. We will go back! We took the water taxi several times to numerous locations and it was alot of fun and convenient. The spa was great! The pool was clean and the service was great poolside. We loved looking at the yachts and the spectacular mansions.
Our only disappointment was we were looking forward to drinks on the Pier Top Lounge. As we got off the elevator, we found out it was closed and now is only used for private parties.
We also discovered that they are planning on doing alot of renovations to the Hyatt. It will be gorgeous.
To sum our review... we like nice places with excellent service and we are willing to pay for it and the Hyatt did not disappoint us.
