My 2-night stay at Hyatt Pier Sixty-Six was divine. I could not have been happier. Coming over the bridge, surrounded by water we arrived at the hotel greeted by friendly faces. The lobby was impressive and welcoming as were the front desk folks. Our bellman was informative as we went to our room. The room was clean and crisp and well decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were absolutely the best to the point you didn't want to get out of bed! The balcony was spacious and overlooked the most magnificent pool and grounds. The food was also excellent. Walking around the grounds and the marina was most enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again.

Decided to fly to Fort Lauderdale for a last minute Fourth of July weekend for some R&R. The rate obtained from the Hyatt website was great and included 20% off spa and Food &Beverage Purchases.

I had a tower King Room with an ocean view balcony, with a great view of the ocean and the fireworks show. The bed was very comfortable and a nice flat panel TV. Internet was reliable but of course a fee. The room was nicely updated but little things were overlooked. For example the handle to turn the shower on and off was loose and the shampoos/conditioners were not replaced by the maid each morning. There was a little dust on the picture frames in the room that made you wonder what else didn't get cleaned the best. Those are minor complaints. The pool areas were lovely and the staff friendly. The bellhops and valet helped with with ground transportation and were always willing to help.

I ate mainly at the pool bar area, and Pelican's Landing (a nice walk on the Pier looking at Yachts.) along with room service. The food was good but I like the more varied selections of the Hilton and Harbor Beach.

I did use the spa for a massage and everyone was friendly and the massage was great. The spa was dead though. Only 4 people on the sign up sheet by 4:00 pm.

The only hiccup on check out was that upon reviewing my bill I saw that the food & beverage discount and the spa discount were not on the bill. The front desk clerk asked me "didn't you use your coupons?" in a curt fashion. I told him that I did not receive any coupons and while sighing all the way he did go through the receipts for each (spa, pool bar, Pelicans) and give me the 20% discount. However he said it didn't apply to room service. It would have been nice to know since I ordered room service just because of the 20% discount; otherwise I wouldn't have paid that much for a cheeseburger and chicken fingers!

Overall though I would return and it is like a nice oasis in the busy city of Fort Lauderdale. Just make sure if you have a special package reservation that you bring it to the attention of the front desk clerk upon check in!

The moment you walk in you are treated like royalty. The first impression you get upon check in is a very modern, meticulous expansive lobby. Sometimes checking in can be hectic but we felt relaxed and welcomed by everyone at the resort. We had great conversations with the manager Luis and really enjoyed talking with him. We went to the Hard Rock Casino and their Improv Comedy Club, which was a short drive away. Luis gave us some great tips regarding the Casino. We were upgraded to a tower room on the 11th floor with a tremendous view of the pool and most of the city, absolutely stunning at night!!!! I have attached a few photos. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were the most luxurious sheets I have ever felt. The room had a fridge, a nice flat screen tv and comfy robes. We recieved a paper from different random area on a daily basis which was interesting. We loved the pool area with waterfalls, which was quiet and relaxing with breath taking views. Soft relaxing music plays while you bask in the sun. There is ice cold water by the towel area which was refreshing. We had lunch at the pool and enjoyed a delicious steak like burger and flat bread pizza with artichokes & tomatoes - very good. The hotel is on a beautiful marina which we really enjoyed walking through. There were multi-million dollar yachts everywhere. We also walked to Pelican Landing for 1/2 price appetizers and happy hour. They are located upstairs on the marina so the views are very beautiful. The food was great, especially their hamburger with a pulled pork sauce on it, very unique and most delicious. The service was great and it was also nice because they have misters cooling you off as you sit in outside. They have several other restaurants from casual to upscale. We usually stay at resorts on the ocean but this was a great change of pace. The marina ambiance is wonderful. We will definately stay here again and will highly recommend the resort to family and friends as a top-notch resort with great people!!!!!

Relax on the extensive multi pool oasis, walk the marina, be wisked by water taxi to Los Olas for great restaurant selections and extensive shopping in non chain local stores! Do not stay in the patio rooms, A/C very noisy as it cycles on and off, tower rooms afford great views, large, modern, quiet and clean. This older Ft lauderdale hotel/resort is a relaxing gem in a busy city, close to everything yet solves the "get away"agenda nicely.

Just back from staying here. I was hesitant to stay because it's a bit isolated - you have to drive to go anywhere. But the staff is very accomodating and wonderful! Everyone from the bellmen to the concierge to the front desk. Ricardo is the bartender in the lobby lounge and is one of the best. The water taxi is right down the road and you can take that almost anywhere. Las Olas is a $12.00 cab ride. Beaches are 5 minutes away. Rooms were clean and large. I would suggest a bit of a splurge to stay in the Tower with a good balcony view. The pool and the surrounding area is lovely as well. It's good for families too as all the kids at the pool seemed to be having a great time.
Only cons were the restaurant 'in the sky' was not open to the pubic - as of right now, it's only open for private functions and Sunday brunch (if they don't have an event scheduled) and the Pelican Bar, while nice and the drinks were strong, was $10.00 a drink in a small plastic cu and room service is a bit expensive ($13.00 for a pot of coffee).
I would stay there again.
