My friend and I enjoyed a fantastically wonderful vacation at this hotel in the first week of July. We didn't know too much about this property in advance except it was a landmark and seemed to elicit mixed reviews. Nonetheless, we decided to go for it! Great move!
The hotel photographs on the website do not do it justice. The lobby was grand! The room was even grander. The bedding was the best hotel bedding ever and helped us sleep like babies.
Not only was the interior of the hotel beautiful, the grounds were kept immaculately. Upkeep is definitely one of the hotel's goals and is evident everywhere. This is all done in a discreet manner so as not to disturb the guests. There were many pools to choose from. Visually this was gorgeous, and each area was not too crowded. Very relaxing!
The best thing about the hotel was the personnel. They couldn't do enough for us! Every query and request was treated with the utmost help and understanding. From our first contact with the front desk, everyone acted like they cared about us and wanted us to have a fun vacation. Really! From the bellboys to David Ivey at the concierge, people could not have been nicer. We shared many pleasant conversations and laughs.
We are already planning our next holiday at Pier 66. Oh yes, and don't forget the buffet breakfast. I won't go into details, but it was DELICIOUS!

My husband and I booked two rooms booked for the July 4th weekend our two daughters and ourselves. When we checked in, we got chatting with the agents behind the desk, both of whom were professional, upbeat and relaxed. I happened to mention that we had never stayed in Fort Lauderdale, and we were instantly upgraded (both rooms) to suites!

Our rooms were on the 11th floor, with views of the intercoastal waterway, facing the ocean. You can tell the hotel has just finished massive renovations, as all the ammenities are updated. The beds are great and the bathrooms are spacious, elegant and I love the separate toilet area. We felt so lucky to be in the rooms we were in, on the 4th. Watching fireworks from the balcony was a real treat - we could see them from at least 10 different locations around the city and to the north.

What really surprised us about the hotel was the dining. We found the food to be really, really good. Even the presentation of meals seems to be above what I normally see in hotel dining. The service, as many posters have already acknowledged, is of superior quality. We were all really impressed.

The pool area is very nice - the gentleman walking around the pool with the Evian spray mist is a nice touch!

My daughters and I all got a treatment at Spa 66. Each of us had a great experience, and I would recommend the spa to anyone. If we had more time, we definitely would have scheduled another treatment.

I will look forward to returning to this hotel again. There isn't anything about our stay that I could complain about. Thank you to management and a thoroughly professional and thoughtful staff, all the way around.

We just got back from a short vacation in Fort Lauderdale where we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. This hotel was exceptional. The staff and the service was 1st rate. The room was pleasant and the beds were very comfortable. The pool and the extras (grapes, Evian Water Spray, cool towels) was just what we were looking for our short get away. The entertainment at the Pelican Landing was great and we had so much fun. We would go to the beach for a little while, but we always came back to the Hotel to enjoy all that it had to offer. Let me get directly to the point. The customer service at this hotel - - OUTSTANDING! The shuttle to the beach, the directions and advice from the gentlemen that greeted me outside the hotel, the lady that checked me in, the staff that maintained my room – every person made me feel at home and provided top-notch customer service. Then, my co-worker arrived later that evening and her room was not available because of “mechanical problems.” Unfortunately, they had to put her at another location for one evening but the customer service sprang into action. Luis (I think his last name was Navaro) demonstrated excellent customer service in realizing our frustration and making sure that the remainder of her (and my) stay was outstanding.

I enjoyed everything about this property during my week-long visit to the Fort Lauderdale area. The staff of the Hyatt Pier 66, and Luis in particular, is responsible for producing a loyal Hyatt customer for years to come.

I just returned from a conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Hyatt Pier 66 made a great finish to a bad start. After traveling for 16 hours, I arrived at the Hyatt only to find that maintenance problems made my room unavailable. Tired, exhausted, and completely upset at 12:30 am, the hotel transferred me to another Hyatt resort (Bahia Mar). The Bahia Mar was below average and when I returned to the Hyatt Pier 66, I was more than frustrated. The manager at the Hyatt, Luis Navarro, went above and beyond his call of duty to make this bad experience into a Great One!! First, Luis "comped" my room at the Bahia Mar, upgraded me to a junior suite, and provided complimentary breakfast's for the rest of my stay. In addition, my travel companion and I had extended our vacation and Luis provided us a reasonable rate at the Hyatt with a junior suite. The room was large, luxurious, and had huge balconies. I give this hotel an Excellent rating along with Luis Navarro, the manager on staff during my stay!
