This was really a non eventful stay and in my book that is a good thing! The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were very good. We only stayed one night precruise and got a good rate. I've wanted to stay at this hotel for many years and finally had the chance. For just one night, probably for most people more that you would want to spend if you are on a budget. I could honestly say I would stay again, hopefully for more than one night. The beds were really firm and comfortable which I like. We did not get the chance to use the pool or any other amenities on site, we did take the water taxi from the hotel to Las Olas for dinner. Loved being able to walk among the yachts to the taxi and check them all out. The morning we left for our cruise I went to the top in the elevator and checked out the harbor and saw our ship just to make sure she made it back and was ready for us! There was a private function getting ready to start but they let me in to take a look at the ships, it was an awesome view! The view from our room was great and once it was dark all the lights were beautiful.

We stayed 5/3/2008 before our cruise on Carnival Liberty. From the moment we arrived at the Hotel we received outstanding customer service. Everyone was very professional, but yet friendly enough to make you feel welcome. Check in was very quick. The porter was very nice and pointed out the areas of the hotel grounds and places nearby. The hotel grounds are huge with a beautiful pool, hot tubs and a marina. We were in a jr suite that faced the port just as we had asked for. Every part of the room was very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the water taxi that you could catch at the hotel marina. For $13.00, you can get on and off the entire day / evening. We took the entire round trip (3 hours) looking at the beautiful homes and then got off at Beach Place for lunch, shopping and a walk on the beach.
There is a Hess store across the street from the Hyatt to get snacks and sodas. It is a very easy walk with pedestrian walkways. It was nice having a small refridgerator in our room!
Check out was quick, taxi's are available at the Hyatt entrance, less than 10 minutes you are at the cruise port. The cruise port in Fort Lauderdale was much easier to check in that what we have experienced in Miami.
We will definitely come back to Hyatt Pier 66 for our next cruise, we have now found our new favorite hotel ;)

My company sent me to a conference 2 years in a row that was held at this hotel. Last year the place looked a little dated and there was nothing really good or bad to say about the hotel. When I came last week I was supprised to find that the place was transformed. From the charming dining area to the beautiful lobby (with free Wifi) this is absolutely the best place I could have stayed. The bed is soooo comfortable and the rooms were modern and spacious. I watched the news on my flat screen T.V., fell asleep, and was almost late to my first round of meetings. All in all if I had to stay there on my own dime I would not hesitate booking right now.

Wonderful accomodations and facilities in a tropical setting boardering the inter coastal and the marina. Enjoy lunch poolside and dinner at the 15th Street Fisheries.

i stayed here the night before our cruise June 2007. We got the room free using our travelers rewards points. The hotel was still under construction because of a hurricane. They upgraded us to a junior suite and the room was spacious and beautiful. We had a huge king bed and a flat screen tv with refrigerator. Our balcony overlooked the cruise port and the mansions on the waterfront. We didn't eat or anything because we got there at night and were leaving the next morning for our cruise. I will agree with one of the other assessments that nothing is in sight and we had to drive to get something to eat or pay the high costs in the restaurant at the hotel. Overall a lovely hotel and enjoyable stay.

  • Liked — Views from the balconies.
  • Disliked — Nothing.
