“Fun for the whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We were flying home from the florida keys to virginia and our flight was out of Ft. Lauderdale. Not knowing how much traffic we would hit - we left early from the keys and had 2-3 hours to spare. We went here and had an absolute blast. Our local museum, of which we are members in Virginia, has a reciprocal program with the MODS so we were able to go for free! The kids (7 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl) loved the bubble area, the hurricane & tornado center (where you can feel hurricane force winds and see yourself on camera being a meteorologist), and the airplane sections. There is a super cool clock outside that you could seriously watch all day and still think it's amazing. My husband and I love science too so we had just as much fun. The airport is about 3-4 miles away - easy to get to once it was time to leave to get to our flight. Fun, fun, fun day. Only complaint is that the Subway there on site had kind of slow service.
