“Bright, Cheery Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

After staying in a damp Best Western in Naples, this Best Western was so much better! The room was bright & cheery, not dark & damp. The breakfast was a typical Best Western breakfast consisting of bagels, toast, waffles, cereal & yogurt. Room was clean & neat. Nice place to stay before heading down the Keys.

We spent two nights here while visiting the Everglades. Our rooms were large and clean. The staff was very helpful providing directions and recommendations on area restaurants. The pool and hot tub area had attractive plantings.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms were very quiet

My wife and I stayed here three nights, having selected it as a great jumping off place for the Keys and Everglades. It was quiet and pleasant. The pool area was attractive and a nice place to have breakfast, which was good. Providing daily bottles of water and bags of kettlecorn was a nice touch. There's a good local seafood restaurant on the other side of the parking lot and lots of other restaurants in the area. The major deficiency was poor wifi--it's not in the rooms, only in the pool area. We'd definitely return.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for our mid-way point on our recent March 2012 vacation to Florida.

Locating the hotel was fairly easy as we had our GPS with us...if we didn't have it, we likely would have drove past the sign for the hotel because the "road" that it is on looks more like an extension to a parking lot.

The exterior of the hotel was very clean and had an inviting feel to it.

The lobby was clean. The individuals behind the desk were pleasant and helpful.

We were assigned a room on the second floor; there are only two floors here so this was likely the better situation as we wouldn't then have people above us trouncing around making all kinds of noise.

The room was a double queen which was very spacious and clean; it also had a very nice bathroom and kitchenette. There was a small sink and microwave on a decently sized counter top in the kitchenette which served well for food prep.

The television worked and had an abundance of channels.

The beds were super comfortable (very soft mattresses); though, the pillows were those annoying tiny ones (half the size of a twin pillow) thankfully there were two beds so we ended up with enough pillows to make for a comfortable night of sleep.

The AC worked wonders and didn't have a funky odor coming out of it.

The internet connection in the room we had didn't work...apparently it was a known issue but has never been resolved... I believe we had room 241...so stay away from that room if you want internet...

The breakfast was excellent; my wife was able to find food that she could eat (gluten allergy).

Checkout was a breeze and there were no unexpected charges to my card, so all was good!

The best part about this hotel location was that it was only 10 minutes from the Everglades South Entrance.

Room Tip: Avoid room 241, no internet connection. Get second floor if you can, it is the top level in the hot...

We stayed there on ourway from the Keys to Bonita Springs. We arrived relatively late in the evening (9.00) an were greeted and treated without any smile. The room we got was in the darkest corner of the basement next to the janitors storage, promissing al noisy morning. The hotel wasn't full! So i went back to the reception for another room. We got one on the first floor wich was much better. Breakfast was good.
