This was our second year to stay at this hotel while visiting and diving the keys. This is a well kept hotel with staff that obviously takes pride in their hotel. We arrived early for check-in and with a room available, they got us checked in early. As I mentioned, the staff is extremely friendly and they are always visible patroling the well kept grounds. We certainly plan on staying at this TravelLodge again in the future.

When we arrived at this site the front desk was roped off with construction but after finding our way around I was really mistaken. The staff was excellent, explaining that they were remodeling the front, explaining where breakfast would be and showing us on a map where our room was, the pool was and all the ice makers. The rooms were very clean. The bath rooms were the extremely clean, nothing in the corners and the tub sparkled. The beds were nice I wish my sheets had stayed on but oh well get over it. Breakfast was great, you were encouraged to take your food back to your room as they had limited space to eat. Apparently some sloppy person was in before us and the girls were busy cleaning up the mess they had left. Everyone was very friendly. The pool was so nice and the area around it was very clean. The only problem I had was it was our night to do laundry and the driers were so slow but we survied.

This Travelodge in Florida City was wonderful. We even stayed an extra night because it was so close (within an hour's drive) from Fort Lauderdale airport.
The check-in staff gave us a coupon rate when we walked in without a reservation. They were also very helpful in finding a place to eat, and directing us to visit "Robert is Here", a wonderful fruit stand a few miles away.
Definitely the place to stay in Florida City.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in December of 2007. We found it to be a great location for seeing the Everglades. The room was clean and the rate we got online was very reasonable. The general manager, Sunny, and the staff were very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again in the future.
