Excellent accommodation, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had good choice and was an added bonus. We had stayed in various motels in Florida which ranged in quality but this was by far the best. Well placed for visiting Everglades and onward travel to Keys. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there to visit the southern part of the Everglades National Park. Florida City is the closest you can stay.
It is a motel, well kept and spotless clean, staff is nice, good deal for the money (60 USD/night). Walls are thin, so you might hear the TV or snoaring of your neighbours.
The pool is small and provides no shade. The breakfast room is being renovated, so the unimpressive breakfast was provided in improvised buffet normal hotel rooms, which is o.k.

To be honest - I was very hestiant to stay in a Travelodge, but WOW - was I impressed with this property!

The front desk agent (Daniel?) was EXCELLENT. He is full of information and extremely helpful. I've stayed at 4-star hotels in NYC and Chicago, and have not had as great service as we did at this motel.

The rooms were spotless and seemed to have been updated recently. The grounds were landscaped very nicely.

They have a pool and washer/dryer available for their guests and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. (Nothing fancy - think Denny's, McDonald's and Subway, ect...)

The best part is the LOCATION! It is a perfect spot to call home while you expore the Everglades Nat'l Park and the Upper Keys.

I highly recommend this property. It is a fantastic value. We will definitely be back again next time we visit South FL.

We booked two rooms at the Travelodge Florida City for three nights late July '08. Our rooms were clean and we had no complaints at all. The service we received was well above average and the staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was above average and the pool was clean and well maintained, as was all the grounds. There were little Tiki huts with tables outside our rooms and they had personalized the property by decorating with palm trees with symbols on them, very pretty. They were expanding the office/breakfast area which is a plus. We had a quiet and relaxing stay with no disturbances. Hotel is close to several restaurants including both chain and local. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.
