Stopped one night on our way to Key West. Very warm welcome on check in. Room itself was functional, if dated. Smelled musty, but clean. Fixtures & fittings worked but were dated. Overall a convenient stay with an update well and truly needed. Breakfast was adequate and filling.

Room Tip: Choose a quiet room on the field side.

Stayed for 2 and 1/2 day in this hotel. Was given a ground floor room, shabby, damp and stinky. Checked in pretty late, hence room change request could not be placed. Though the reception lady 'Marcedes' offered a room change, the day I left. She told that rooms are being renovated phasewise.
Reception staff are well behaved, very helpful. Breakfast is less than average, rather very low quality. Cafeteria staff are also not very helpful, specially when it comes the question of replenishing the dishes.
Reception staff 'Marcedes' went an extra mile in helping me for my visit to 'Key West'. It is only because of her I could make it. My original plan gone wrong, hence I resorted to her assistance.
The hotel management can take pride of a staff like 'Marcedes'
The better part of this hotel is its location and proximity to essential places like fast food joints, restaurants, convenience stores etc. located right on US1 highway, visit to Key west is easy and convenient. The facad and exterior is beautiful and well maintained. Sorroundings are excellent. With little attention and improvement, it can be an excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms. They are shabby, damp and dark.

Dear Asifuz,

Thank you for your review. I'm disappointed that we fail to meet or exceed your expectations during your short visit. Please know that I value what my guests have to say regarding their experiences. I will meet with my Breakfast staff and share your comments with them. We are schedule to continue renovation with the rest of the remaining rooms. Although nothing makes me happier to see that our Team member Mercedes was able to exceed your expectations. Mercedes has been with us for many years and I will share your comments with her and celebrate. Our ultimate goal is to provide excellent service to each and every guest we serve.

Thank You.

My biggest issues is that was never explained that hotel is under construction. Also, was put into a handicapped room with a full size bed with it was supposed to be a 2 beds / king. Requested a smoking room, and it was not. Explained that to the front desk receptionist and she said not her problem. Also, breakfast was eggs & sausage were hard.

The carpet was sticky so make sure you don't walk barefoot. The upholstered chair was blotched so we put a towel down before sitting there. The room was dingy and not so clean. It smelled bad when we entered.

The worst part was sleeping. All 4 pillows on the King size bed were high rise and lumpy. Usually hotels provide a low rise, medium and a high rise pillow. Since I sleep on soft low rise pillows at home I found it impossible to sleep here without constantly waking up.

If the price were lower and you know ahead of time what it is like, you may want to stay. But such is not the case. We stayed here because coming back from Key West all hotels were filled July 4. So it was location.

I want to start this review off first by saying that the management was quite courteous in handling our situation. They did provide us with a full refund and were understanding but it was extremely awkward.

We booked this place online and when we arrived it was extremely different. The room we were placed in was a failed attempt at updating. Our remote was for an entirely different room, our TV did not function, it smelled musty and our door had no weather stripping so it was incredibly humid. We were here for a grand total of 30 minutes before we ran. The bed itself felt like a rock and I had that gut feeling that staying there was a bad idea.

This place is definitely in desperate need of a real update.
