I got this hotel on an auction site, and it was a good location for the purpose of this trip. We wanted to take the grandkids snorkling at John Pennekamp State Park. Once you hit the Keys hotel rooms average $130 per night even for a dive. We just wanted an inexpensive weekend. Anyway, the hotel is older and is showing it's age, the lobby was super clean and nice. Rooms were sort of clean, one of the kids dropped an Ipod behind a chair and let's just say the maids were not very attentive, but the rest of the room and bath were clean. They had nice linens and fluffy towels which is important to me. We asked to be by the pool and the girl waiting on up put us right by the gate for the pool, which was really nice. Our one big issue was the TV did not work all the time. we called and they would send a guy down who would jiggle some stuff and push several buttons and it would come on, but once you turned it off, we could not get it to work. They served a generous, varied breakfast and had really good coffee. It is about 30 minutes from the hotel to John Pennekamp so it was a good location and did not cost an arm and a leg. Overall we had a good stay.
