3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We stayed here for a staging point to start a day on the Keys and another in the Everglades...

Very good place for that...

room 315 had a couple of broken chairs and a broken suitcase holder...

rooms where clean and better than many...
pool is nice..

great location

Cheack-in experiance was nice

Room Tip: rooms 300-323 are inside and require a key to access the building... very nice

Personnel was very friendly and helfull. Clean and comfortable. Close acces to the Keys and Everglades. Washing machines.
We were looking for a place to stay as we were coming from the Everglades and intended to visit the Keys the next day. Thus, the hotel was perfectly located.
Washing machine was helpfull.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location and the breakfast is better than a continental. Our room has always been clean. We personally prefer the building with the interior entrance, and our request has always been honored.

Drove back from Key West on Sunday and Stayed in the Quality Inn in Florida City, FL. This is one of the first hotel/motel's one encounters once on mainland FL on highway 1. The establishment staff could not provide information regarding tourist spot in the Miami area which was a disappointment.
Our room actually was a good value. We had a king room for a very reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel provided a nice complementary continental breakfast in the morning.
There were a number of nearby dinning options from steak-houses, buffets, to fast food and basic American fare (Denny's).

The Quality Is a great hotel to stay at. Not only being at the gateways of the Florida Keyes, but it's great, positive, helpful staff was a pleasure! We have stayed in this particular Quality Inn more than five times and every time they open their doors to us and make us feel at home. The rooms were always cleaned (and if i might add the cleaning staff is really eager to clean your room) an the showers were so clean i could see my reflection everywhere I looked. Not to mention the toilets were also really clean and was never a problem to flush! The number one thing that was super convenient was that every morning until 10am I could enjoy a free continental breakfast. They had super good eggs and sausage with English Muffins, toast, muffins, and warm self made waffles. Now before I go to bed I really like to watch TV, and Hey they had 58 different channels to choose from before bed! The hotel also has a washer and dryer to wash your clothes. All you need to do is pay a little visit to the front desk where they will provide soaps and detergents. The pool was great in temperature not too warm and not too cold, which is perfect in the South Florida weather! I am only 14 years old so the pool should be my favorite thing about the hotel but my favorite thing about this hotel is that they are always finding a way to make it newer and better! I really enjoy the location. Just the other night at around 11pm i got hungry so I asked my dad if we could get something to eat, being a wonderful father like always he took me out and there were a lot of restaurants to choose from. In the radius of half a mile there is a Mc Donald's, Denny's, Wendy's, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, and many other restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay at The Quality Inn in Florida City/Homestead and I really hope you have the same wonderful experience as I did!

We started out here because of location and price heading south to key west rooms get more expensive. GREAT VALUE and lots of fast food joints around. Nice little breakfast of standard waffle or scramble eggs and biscuits.Standard pool and room beds a little hard but this is nt the ritz and I was tired. Next morning we were off to cannon beach then annies beach then feed the tarpon at Robbie,s A MUST DO then key west for more great reviews, can,t wait for the key west quality inn to open next year THANKS AGAIN

Room Tip: I would choose room outside near office because interior rooms the other guests doors slam and might...
