“It was interesting.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

The room was nice for the first two weeks we stayed there (we were there a month for business), but the last two weeks, I found out that my coffee pot wasn't getting cleaned. I am not a regular coffee drinker, so I made a pot. A week later, I went to make another and found maggots in the filter area. I was given another coffee pot, but how many times did the cleaning lady actually check the cleanliness of the coffee pot? Didn't she at least see that a filter was missing from the basket? The pool was lovely, the cabana was awesome for lazy afternoons, and the location to businesses was amazing. There was a shooting on the street nearby, a "street urchin" living on the first floor, and a friend's wallet was stolen out of their room (even though she hid it under the bed. Who looks under the bed for wallets?). There is only one washer and dryer in each building, and there are two buildings. One opens to the outside, one opens to a central hallway. Besides that, it was really nice.

Room Tip: Rooms are quieter on the north side, but you don't have a view. The south side looks onto the po...

Stayed 2 nights Feb. 2013, could've stayed 4ever. Budget friendly, professional/friendly staff, speedy service, entire property well lit/felt very safe here, CLEAN room/washer/dryer/pool/relaxing outdoor cabana/fridge/microwave. Good WiFi. Wonderful quiet place to drain the brain w/comp buffet breakfast. Parking spots are few if you book a pool view room but staff told us that up front. Good location in Homestead on main thoroughfare, 1 hr south of Miami, close to shopping, Walmart, outlet mall, restaurants within walking distance. A+++++

Room Tip: Room away from pool provides more parking spaces.

Stayed one night on our way to Key West. Older furnishings and thin walls but comfortable mattress, hot shower and quiet. Could definitely use a refurbish. Paid less than $75.00 with tax. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. Unless you're a person who NEEDS 5 star resorts, this is a comfy overnighter.

Next time we will take a Hilton!

Came with a hotel-coupon, but there was no room availible. They gave us a room for !! 159 $ !! per night (excl.taxes). Stood 2 nights, because we traveled to the Keys and back. It was the most expensive hotel-stop during our 3 week round trip.

We were placed in an other building, where other guests were really loud the whole night. Nobody stopped that.

The room was spacious enough for 3 persons, but nothing phenomenal. Breakfast-area is much to small for so many guests! Assortment of breakfast was o.k.

I think that was a daylight robbery. So we would never come back!

A couple of hours' drive to the Everglades National Park, with Walmart and Denny's (right in front) nearby for a quick grocery pick-up and meal.

Room's a bit old, but comfy, with good hot showers. The included breakfast has waffles, fruits, toasts, eggs and sausages, which are pretty good.

I stayed in this hotel January 19. It was one of the only hotels not sold out. I have stayed at a few "Choice Hotels" in the past so I know what to expect. The room was very outdated and worn. The remote for the television was broken but still worked. The bathroom was very worn needed to be detail cleaned a little better as I found hair and dustballs on the floor. This room was towards the back of the property so it was very quiet. The A/C worked well (a little too well) and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The front desk staff did a great job in checking in and out. As a former resident of Homestead/Florida City this hotel is in a very important part of town. This part of town is the last stop on the mainland before the Florida Keys. This hotel needs to be remodled to better showcase for the tourists.

Room Tip: Stay further back in the property. US1 is a very busy street.

We stayed for one night going to Key West; very happy with the hotel: very clean, nice roomy room, friendly staff. We got a good price on the room, less than it was online. I recommend this hotel and would stay definitely here again.
