“Good Clean Motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2011

We stayed for one night after spending a whole day visiting the Everglades. The location was perfect, everything was fine and the room and bathroom were clean. There is a nice pool as well that we made use of in the evening. The complimentary breakfast was very good too. There is a Dennys a few minutes walk from the Motel. Overall, it was adequate for our needs and our budget, we had no complaints and we would stay here again if ever in the area.

The room was adequate, nothing fancy, but considering the location on the door-step to heading out to the "Keys", it was a good value. Had two separate "stays" there. the first day stay we were assigned a room which obviously someone had "used", the bed was mussed-up and there was water drops on the lavatory counter! We were then given another room for that night. the next night we were assigned a room with one light bulb missing from the socket, and another lamp with a very dirty burned out light bulb. I notified the desk and was given two new bulbs. Their breakfast was fairly good with coffee, juice, rolls, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, waffles, and yogurt.

The room was dated and not quite as clean as it could be. There was no plug in our bathtub. When we asked the staffperson at the front desk for a bathtub stopper, she unsmilingly said that the repair person was gone for the night (at six pm) and that there was nothing she could do for us until the next morning. Since we were leaving early the next day, this wasn't much help. Breakfast was poorly presented -- they ran out of items and there weren't enough tables for the number of motel guests who were there and no one seemed to be in charge of the breakfast area. Perhaps the place needs more staff? Not our best experience with a Comfort Inn by a long shot.

This hotel is conveniently located. The newer building is very quiet despite being near route 1. The breakfast is the usual cold cereal, pastries, breads, coffee, oj, do it yourself waffles and hard boiled eggs.

My husband and I stayed here on night 2 of a 3 day trip down to the Florida Keys. It is a great location for starting a trip down the Keys the next morning, and it does have a hot breakfast free in the lobby. The room was clean, but it is older, shabbier and needs some TLC. The AC ran weird on and off all night, it did not make for a good night's sleep. The staff was efficient and friendly, helped make it a more pleasant stay. All in all, not a bad motel, but like I said, it needs some love.

Nice for the money, clean, and friendly. We stayed in the Keys and paid 3 times the $60 we paid here for about the same quality. Save your money, it's a handy location with plenty of other services nearby.

This is a solid 3 star property with a great rate. It's rooms are dated, but are very clean and spacious with a fridge, micro wave and coffee maker. Staff is friendly. Site is surprisingly quiet since it's behind a service station away from the hiway.

We stayed here for convenience to get to the Keys after a football game at Sunlife Stadium in Miami Gardens, which was about 50 miles north on the Turnpike.
