GPS took us on a bit of a scenic route, but finally called reception for directions. Room was typical until the lamp tripped out the lights. Reception was a little hamstrung without staff on the property to assist. Offered a second room with one bed for the four of us. Offered a third room as a result of a cancellation. Pancake machine is broken - not good news for the kids. Some inconveniences.

We were satisfied with our stay at this Holiday Inn. Unfortunately I couldn't give a 5 star rating because as other reviewers have said the beds are uncomfortable. However, the hotel is decorated nicely, clean, and serves a nice breakfast. I would stay here again if passing through and if the price was a little less.

I forgot to ask how old the hotel is or if they ever changed the beds. I found out when we got there. We had the two queen size beds, They were all very saggy. When you sit on the edge, you could just slip to the floor. That was kind of the saggy bed that we had. It was quiet hotel though. The location is good and the complimentary breakfast was a plus. The staff we met were very nice. We especially want to thank Sara for her patience and kindness. She helped us to move to the other room which had better bed. Overall, it was a OK hotel if you do not mind the beds. I was told that they were going to change all beds. So next time, call them and find out if that is the case.

This Holiday Inn Express was your typical HIE with a decent complimentary breakfast and friendly staff. The location is also excellent for visiting the Everglades and as a departure point for the Keys. However, our room stunk like musty jungle rot that is common in Florida due to the high humidity. However, the stink in our room was significantly stronger than usual and stronger than other areas of the hotel. It was not possible to open the window so there was not much that could be done. We probably would not stay here again unless the rooms are remodeled.
