“Very Poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We happened to pass this restaurant on the way to Everglades National Park and thought it would be perfect for breakfast. We should have suspected something when there was not another soul in there at 9 a.m. The service from the two elderly waitresses was slow and not friendly. The prices were way too high and the food was very poor. My pancakes were grainy and unappetizing. My husband had biscuits and gravy and found both to be unsatisfactory. We spent $20 on breakfast (as opposed to about $12 at Waffle House) and we both left half of the food. Maybe it's better for other meals, but I would steer clear at breakfast.

“An unpretentious local treat!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

If you're looking for somewhere between Biscayne and Flamingo that's not touristy or overdone, this is the place. The food is quite good and the portions and prices reasonable. It's an unpretentious place, but judging from the number of locals that seem to patronize it, it must be one of the better places in town.

When we ordered lemon iced tea and our server apologized that all they had at the moment was key limes. we knew we'd found tropical fruit nirvana... when she went on to steer us to some wonderful local spots we'd otherwise have missed, handing out brochures with graceful warmth, it got even better. We went back the next day for breakfast, which was also excellent.

“Can't judge a book by its cover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

The exterior isn't much to look at, and the inside could use a little paint, but the food was great! If you want a home cooked meal away from home this is the place. Definitely recommend.

“Great Florida Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Hearty, casual, fast breakfast with great Florida service (honey, dear). We had eggs with hash and potatoes, eggs with beans and rice, ham and cheese omelet with potatoes (more ham than cheese and eggs). This breakfast kept us going through an afternoon snorkel tour.
The restaurant is at the Farmers' Market: watch for forklift traffic in the parking lot.
