“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

Food was pretty bland. I ordered the enchiladas and wanted to try some variety, pollo, carne and queso but was told I could only have 3 of the same. His hard is it to put three different enchilada on a plate. Service was slow and not too friendly. Definitely avoid the rest rooms. Can't recommend this establishment.

“Popular with the locals”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

We stopped in here after a day at the Everglades. The food was just fine. The service was very slow. The women's restroom had some major problems- most of the water in the sink drained into a mop bucket, the rest onto the floor. There was a sign not to flush any TP, so there was a large trashcan placed inside that was full of dirty TP.

“Great stop on the way home from the Keys”

Just stopped for late lunch with my husband. Great verde enchilada, taco, carne asada... Awesome chips and salsa. Friendly server. Small place, excellent food.

“Delicous mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

Loved this little café. Great food and service. Food very good indeed, rice, beans, chicken, pork, all delicious and plentiful. Good Mexican beers too. Not the smartest place we have visited but the food spoke for itself.

“Only Because There Aren't Many Places to Eat in Florida City”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

We had dinner here and walked away unimpressed. All the empty tables were covered with dirty dishes and we had to wait for someone to clear one for us first. OK, maybe they had a "rush" just before we came in. But then we waited and waited for someone to take our order, and waited and waited and waited for our food to come, and the place wasn't particularly busy. The food was adequate, but hardly what I'd call "world class" Mexican fare. It all went down just fine, and we were full when we departed, so it satisfied our desire for basic nourishment. But I wouldn't make a point of stopping here again.

So if you're looking for some place to grab dinner in Florida City and don't feel like fast food or barbecue, it's safe enough to stop here if you have lots of time on your hands. But you'll probably forget what you ate by the time you get back to your hotel room.
