“"Not worth it"”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

If you want to experience a true air boat ride....this is not the place to go. The driver was giving some inaccurate information to the riders. This could of been more educational for the riders but all he cared about was the "spin" and bragging about it afterwards.....who cares! It was 5 minutes of coasting, 5 minutes ( if that) of spinning, and 5 minutes coasting back to the dock. Not worth the money.

“A fun time for the kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

The Everglades Alligator Farm is a not a bad way to spend some time. The price is right for the time you can spend there. We saw the alligator feeding and that was interesting, to say the least. The come with a bobcat front loader full of treats that even grossed out my 10 year old son. The snake show was great. My son pushed past his stage fright and held a ball python and wore a snake around his neck! The airboat ride was just enough for us and quite a bit less money that some of the other outfitters. Be prepared to get a little wet, especially your feet and your seat! It is more of an attraction than a guided tour so if you want long ride that is more personal perhaps this is not the place for you. We were lucky enough to be there when they were transferring some of the adolescent gators so we got to see them in the tanks wrangling some of the four foot ones. Seeing a Florida panther was pretty cool but his enclosure was kind of small. All in all, its a decent way to spend the time and a pretty good value.

“Waste of Money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We felt the airboat ride was not worth the $23 per person. Were told the ride would be 25 minutes and it was only 15 minutes. Driver did not give any information and was more interested in giving a thrill ride with 360's and lots of water spray. Look for another place.

“Waste of money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

We were very disspointed with opur visit to this alligator farm. The airboat (the boat sat around 24) ride consists of two youngsters showing off airboat skills - if a real airboat ride in the everglades is what you are after - there are many better options. The shows seem quite cruel on the unwilling animal participants and the picture opportunities after the show with very young crocs -jaws are taped together by duck tape for tourists to be able to take pictures - felt very wrong.

The rest of the "farm" consists amongst others of a small souvenir shop, a very old snack caravan, and a large selection of alligators, snakes and crocodiles in what appear to be very cramped enclosures.

A walk along the nearby free Anhinga Trail will give you a much better opportunities to see alligators in their natural habitat - real guided airboat rides across the everglades are also available nearby.

“Aligators”

We enjoyed the activities at the alligator farm. It was very educational and we advise you take the air boat ride into the everglades.
