This is a great little motel. Rooms were extremely clean, beds were completely comfy, linens and towels were great too. Rooms well-furnished with coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Free Wi-Fi was a hit with us. The Tiki Hut is a wonderful idea .... just wish our weather had been warmer so we could take advantage of it. Ditto for the kayaks on the creek in back. Access to beach couldn't have been better. Host was friendly and laid-back. Highly recommend a great restaurant in Flagler Beach, the Flagler Fish Company. 10-year-old rated our stay 5 out of 5!

I've been visiting this quiet, undeveloped part of Florida for over a decade, but this was my first stay at Si Como No.

Si Como No is a pleasant detour from the typical Florida beach hotel. Each room is clean, cozy, and uniquely decorated in the bright and sunny artifacts of Florida and Costa Rica. The beds are surprisingly firm with high-threadcount sheets you'd expect at pricier hotels. Showers are steamy hot and full-pressure. Rooms have Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, desk, and coffee maker as you'd expect, as well as complimentary Fair Trade coffee you might not.

Pets of all sizes are not only allowed, they are pampered. The dogs I saw while I was there were in heaven.

Best of all, there's a Bed and Breakfast feel to the place, created by owners Marti and Carl, who treat guests like family. Guests tend to congregate in the large tiki hut, where someone is usually cooking (and sharing) something special. One night during my stay in February, Marti cooked probably the best chicken soup I've ever had to make up for the unseasonably cold weather. Another night, I was treated to pork chops with black beans and rice.

In addition to both beach access and canal access---which is a rare treat here due to the geography---the hotel offers a number of special amenities: natural hot springs bubble just behind the guest rooms; in-room massage therapy is available, as are sea kayaks, and fishing gear; surfing lessons are available from the owner's son, a champion surfer; and best of all a large tiki hut with communal fridge, sink and kitchen is open to guests who want to cook their own meals or get out of the sun and enjoy a cold beverage.

As easy as it is to never leave the premises, Flagler Beach offers a wide variety of distractions. Just a short walk up the beach is the historic Flagler Beach pier and the heart of the town. A couple dozen restaurants, bars and cafes cater to tourists and locals alike, serving fresh seafood, steaks and casual cuisine. I recommend starting your day at the JavaJoint, a nearby cafe with excellent breakfast and coffee. Also check out for lunch the Golden Lion, an English pub with a steady breeze, and High Tides, the spot for fresh seafood. Also notable is Blue, Flagler's upscale restaurant that serves nouvelle cuisine with thoughtful wine pairings in a casual atmosphere.

Less than five miles in any direction are acres of state parks and attractions. To the north, Washington Oaks offers lush gardens, bubbling aquifers, quiet beaches and some of the largest trees in the state. To the south, Gamble Rogers offers freshwater kayaking, camping and nature trails.

Historic Marineland, one of Florida's oldest attractions and the location for several Tarzan films and underwater cinematography in the 1940s and 1950s, was recently renovated and now offers tours and dolphin rides.

Flagler Beach is also part of a unique 30-mile highway stretch that attracts driving enthusiasts from across the country. Between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, Highway AIA is mostly right on the beach, and largely without any hotels or other properties obstructing your view. It's as pleasant and carefree a drive as the Pacific Coast Highway or the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Enjoy your stay :)

I wanted to get to the beach with my pup and a friend, trying to get away from a new sorrow. I was turning the big "50" and I thought this sounded like the place to be. Wow! We met great new friends and Marti and Carl were like old friends,(Good advice, and such), I'll never stray. This is the place to be.

My husband found this place at the last minute when our plans changed the day before Christmas. They allow pets, which is fabulous. When you walk into any of their rooms, you would never know they allow dogs. Our room was spotless and smelled clean.

It was a fabulous week and I recommend it highly whether you have a dog or not. In addition, the cost is so reasonable and its right across the street from theocean. Can't go wrong on this one..

WARNING: NOT CHOOSING THIS MOTEL would be a huge mistake. Go to Las Vegas if you want to gamble. Stay here if you don’t.

Like you, we were trying to find a reasonably priced place to stay (for a month with our dogs) in Florida near the beach. It’s a long drive from Canada and we did not want to make be trapped in the wrong place.

We read the reviews, looked at the pictures of all the properties in the area, decided to go with Si Como No because of the favorable reviews by guests.

Being a business person (Realtor), and still a bit skeptical, I only paid for ½ month up front. That was totally unnecessary. Not only was it as good as the reviews, it was much better. The scary part was that after arrival I had to opportunity to drive by the other properties we considered. YIKES!. Run down, no landscaped grounds, crowded amongst other buildings, nothing! Si Como No on the other hand, clean well appointed rooms, backing onto the intercoastal waterway and fronting on the beach. My wife is a professional artist with a degree in fine arts. First thing she noticed was how creative Marti the owner had been with the rooms. They are all different and only 8 of them! This is more like a family of cottages.

Most beaches in Florida don’t allow dogs. We can take ours 50 feet across the road to miles of beautiful beaches with few people on them. Furthermore, only a few miles away there is a beach they can run leash free on. (Hwy A1A & 16th street Palm Coast). Restaurants and stores are nearby, some within walking distance.

You get all the comforts of home but with the extra intangibles that Marti and spouse Karl bring. You ask and they bend over backwards to get it done. You get to know them over a few weeks and realize these are ethical, caring and creative people who just happen to own and operate the best motel in the area. We witnessed random acts of kindness by them including taking in some local folks whose place had burned down. Bottom line, all you see is happy smiling guests who vow to return.

Vegas or Si Como No , its up to you. This place is a safe bet!

We had so much fun. Our dog had so much fun! The hotel is across from the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is a river in the back. The grounds are perfect for dogs to play.

We would recommend SiComo no to all who want a relaxing laid back atmosphere.
KUDOS to the hosts who made our stay memorable.
