“Very good breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Breakfast was very good. Ed, the owner will sit with you and share his recipes, and
thoughts, with a little local knowledge. The food is good, you do leave as friends, and you are full and happy. Thank you Ed, for the food, atmosphere, and local lore. I Will Return. Good job

“Great place, but you gotta overlook Ed........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Just kidding Ed, you and your staff rock! When our "Other" favorite place is closed your place is our choice! Like the sign says, come in as strangers and leave as friends. So true, so very true. Ed, your workers make you look real good guy!

“Good Food, Great Service, 10% Military Discount”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Don't wink when trying to find this place you may miss it nestled on a corner just before 3rd St heading South on Flagler Ave from Moody Blvd. Parking can also be a problem depending on what time you decide to stop by for breakfast or lunch. This place is very popular among the locals and justifiably so. Be prepared to wait to be seated if you come in during their busiest times. They have quite a selection of items on their menu. Nothing they brag about as haute cuisine but their own daily specials, entrees and combinations of familiar comfort foods in good hearty portions already seasoned to taste. Their gravy base for their chipped beef on toast has almost a flour taste and some grittiness to it but is otherwise fine. The wait staff is very attentive even during their busiest times. They are a friendly bunch, eager to please but very few substitutions are allowed when ordering combination platters. Their meals are quite filling so don't be tempted to order too much or you'll be asking for a take home bag for the leftovers. When leaving be sure to ask for their military discount if you qualify they are happy to oblige. With their prices already reasonable, they do not offer a senior discount.
