I'll give you the skinny from a New York perspective. If all you've eaten is Poppa John's or Pizza Hut, you probably won't relate. All in all this is average pizza but the flaws will cause me not to return. First the pluses: 1) reasonable two slice special for 5 bucks (slightly more for toppings) and a medium fountain drink 2) generous amount of cheese and toppings (the mushrooms are canned but I prefer them that way). Now the minuses: 1) Improperly made-Here is what I mean, generally the dough provided for a New York pizza is to make a full 18 inch pie. What happens in most non NY pizzerias is that the pizza maker is too lazy to stretch the dough enough so the crust is too thick and the slices are wider and shooter than a true NY slice, This is exactly the case at Rocky's. 2) The sauce is as acidic as battery acid. No doubt, canned sauce, you better take the purple pill with you. 3) Pepsi products-Simply not cutting it, need coke for the true pizza experience. Having said that, if you are not a New Yorker you will probably think this pizza is just fine. Tomato Paste laden sauce is an absolute deal killer for me so I won't be back.
