This was the fifth of the non-chain FB restaurants we've tried. Lunch menu was just the right size in terms of item availability and diversity of offerings. I had the "Fresh Catch" Sandwich platter (Fried Flounder that day, it does vary) and my wife had the rosemary grilled chicken. Both were quite good and reasonably priced. We strongly recommend trying the donuts and coffee bread pudding dessert, which may not sound like dessert fare on initial impression but added a serious WOW factor to the experience. Absolutely delicious. 29 South was definitely worthy of a return trip.

My family has eaten here several times and it has never disappointed. Choices are hard to make so I often choose a couple of appetizers. The pork spring rolls are "da bomb" and the new scallop appetizer is delicious. 29 South was recommended to us by several local residents as well as a Jacksonville resident who makes the trip from there to eat in FB. I wouldn't recommend it for small children but it's fine for the well behaved 6 year old and up (they will fix pasta for the little ones). Make reservations.
