“Fried everything.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Ate with friends and the food was very disappointing for non-picky eaters. Crab cakes were very disappointing with little crab meat and more fill. The french fries were not even tasty and the friend fish was mediocre and essentially flavorless. Even the hush puppies were pretty flavorless. everything was just fried.

“This is one of the best "old school" restaurants in Fla”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Folks, if you don't like an old school, southern fried seafood menu, don't come here. Those who have panned this place simply didn't do their homework beforehand. Yes, they have good broiled seafood, their kitchen really shines with the fried fresh seafood. I have been coming here or many years and have never been disappointed. When we want fancy, beach food, we simply go elsewhere.

“VERY GOOD seafood, & service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

EXCELLENT seafood platter for 2. PLENTY of food. Shrimp was so fresh and good, great grouper, oysters clams and FABULOUS crab cake!! Not greasy, as mama bear says "Just right"!!
Not fancy, on vacation, come as you are. Comfortable, warm, cozy. We lucked up on this place and will be back.
Thanks for a great evening.

“Excellent service; tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

This restaurant had excellent service during the busy lunch rush. We never lacked for anything!
The southern food was awesome, especially the daily "puff"!

“Good basic seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We hesitated to try this restaurant based on some of the reviews but were very glad we did. This is a basic family seafood restaurant, with the kind of décor you would expect in an older restaurant. The staff is very friendly and we were served promptly. There is only a limited beer and wine menu but I tried the house sangria and found it refreshing and not overly sweet. One of us had the seafood platter and it was BIG - clam strips, shrimp, fish, and oysters-all fried and all tasty. The cole slaw is of the sweeter variety, which one of us liked and one preferred the tossed salad. Our other entrée was fried chicken and it was excellent-3 big pieces, a mixture of white and dark. The restaurant was full but is not noisy at all. We really enjoyed our meal here and would not hesitate to return.
