“tasty spot for fresh caught lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

We stopped in for a grouper sandwich and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty fresh grilled filet on top of a warm bun with delicious home made cole slaw. The atmosphere isn't much ( classic fisherman's lunch counter ) but the food is worth the trip.

“Mediocre.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Our 2nd time eating here and not impressed either time. We had a bowl of clam chowder and a "catch of the day" basket... fried. Catch of the day was mahi, the mahi was fresh but cooked a little too much, it was dry and the batter did not stick. $13 for a small piece of fish, a pile of french fries and 2 hushpuppies. The french fries were good, fish was so so and the hushpuppies were much too sweet. Only good note in the hushpuppies was a few bits of jalapeno... gave them a bit of life. The clam chowder was blah, reminded me of that chunky stuff in a can. I needed to empty 5 of those little packages of pepper into the chowder to give it any flavor.

Seating was outside, which was fine. We probably won't bother going back, there are too many places to get good food on Amelia.

“The place to go for a fried seafood dinner.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

We were wanting to get some good fried seafood and settled in Timoti's. What a great find! I very much prefer a place that has a small menu and does it well. This is such a place.

We had fried oysters, fried shrimp, and fried green tomatoes. All delicious. The sides of French fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw were generous and good. (Ask if they have the red cabbage pickled slaw. It is especially good.)

Good food done right.

“Great hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

This place is different from anything else that we found in Fernandina Beach - in a great way. You order at a walk up counter, but don't let that fool you. The food is primarily comfort food with a gourmet twist. Think blackened mahi tacos and spicy watermelon salad not burgers and fries. They have a good micro brew selection too. Outside seating under a roof with fans blowing keep it cool. Long picnic tables and a large wooden pirate ship for the kids add to the family friendly ambiance. We travel a lot with our kids and eat out at "better" restaurants most nights. We actually found ourselves going to this place twice during our trip.

“Nice new addition to our dining rotation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Tried this for the first time on a recent trip - everyone got a little something different and all seemed pleased with their choices. I got a fried platter and was happy with my choice. The sauces were by request and not really as flavorful as I'd like, so, I'll make a point to ask for some more specific makeup next time and see what happens. Will try again.
