“A Must for All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

This museum is so worth the visit. We learned so much about the local history that was unknown to us. The area has a compelling civil war history that is presented either with a docent tour or self guided and either way you will be impressed with the displays and the information. Great for kids too a lot of hands on activities.

“The History of the Island is fascinating.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

My husband and I are history buffs so we go to museums every time we travel. Amelia Island Museum of History didn't disappoint. The history of the island is quite unique and truly interesting. Everyone working there is friendly and knowledgable. Take a tour to learn more about this precious island.

“good historical overview”

We started out trip here and got a nice overview so when we walked around town and took the trolley tour, we already had a good background.

“A wonderful treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

This museum houses so much history, it's hard to believe! The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and entertaining too. They recently added a permanent children's exhibit - built a boat inside the musuem! - that is fantastic for kids of all ages. A+++++
