“Local great customers service with TODD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Todd had a great personal touch with fantastic local recommendations. Not my first nor my last visit for sure. Location at the end of the main street and closest to the marina just puts the cherry on top of the whip cream.

Great location, very well kept inside and out! This place is awesome, family, couples or even business trip. We made a weekend get-a-way and had a blast. Would definitely stay here again, if we are in the area.

We had a great time this past weekend on Amelia Island. This was one of the best Hampton Inns we have stayed at. Really great location in downtown Fernandina Beach and every staff person we encountered was very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay. Nice pool, very nice breakfast area, both with a nice view of the harbor.

This is the third time my family has stayed at this hotel. The staff has always been courteous and willing to meet our requests. Our room (two queens/sofa bed) was clean and in good condition. The hotel is located beside a rail road track (20 feet) and our room was overlooking the tracks. We also had a great few of the harbor. The train did wake us a few times during our stay. If you are a light sleeper I would request a room on the street side of the hotel. As I mentioned in my previous review if you do not request room service the staff will leave a bag of clean towels outside your room. The hotel is within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops located downtown. The free breakfast should have something to meet everyone's taste (yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, and biscuits and gravy twice a week). The hotel also has a pool which is never crowded (at least late in the day). We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper do not request a harbor view. The train tracks are twenty feet from that...

We loved this hotel! It was clean, well-staffed, accomodating- just make sure you avoid room 222. We were drifting off to sleep when the first train rolled through, blasting its horn. It's a commercial area, and it must be so, but maybe the inn shouldn't put anyone there, even as a last resort. At 11:30 pm, we moved rooms to 432, which was lovely and quiet. (No joke- I could see what the engineer was wearing from the window of 222.) On the bright side, enjoy the complementary breakfast, the heated outdoor pool and the superior location to all of the historic district's attractions. Don't miss Fort Clinch State Park. It's also a short drive up Atlantic Street. All in all, an excellent getaway!

Room Tip: Beware the railroad tracks, on the northeast corner! No 222 , 322, 422 if I were you!

With only a few days to spend, this was a do-able distance and a first time visit to Amelia Island and the Historic District of Ferandina Beach. It was worth the trip. Good restaurants and charming district.

We have been staying here several times over the last eight years and always had a great time. Perfect location, free breakfast, spacious rooms, swimming pool, clean and perfectly maintained! Staff is always friendly and very helpful, many of them have been working here for years.
