We came at 6, as a family of 4. The restaurant was not busy, about 60% empty. They asked us if we had reservations. We did not and they got a pensive worried look saying that they had one last table and might just get us in, thank goodness! We were promptly seated in the spacious, mostly vacant restaurant. Food was amazing and service was good. We ordered wine by the glass and the serving was generous. The chicken marsala was great but they do add a little cream which makes it heavy. I had some tasty lobster spring rolls with a mango sauce. We also had French country salad. I saved room for dessert and had a smooth creme brulee. I was a little surprised that it was cold. I always thought it was served at room temp. It also had whipped cream on top which I also thought unusual. Still good though and rich. We also had the beet salad with swiss chard and feta. Lovely flavours. We left the restaurant around 7:30 and although they were definitely busier, there were still quite a few vacant tables. This is why I thought the hostess was pretentious.
