In the frequent trips to the Island I have made several stops to this coffee shops and each time left more disappointed. I recall when the establishment was owned and operate by Mark and his wife. What a great place that was. Clean, friendly and always filled with the chatting and the laughter's of the customers enjoying the fresh made cake, scones and the muffins along with a fresh brewed cup of coffee. The place now is always in a state of disarray, table never cleans, crumb on the floor no matter what time it is. Sadly because the location is perfect and the potential is very high. Lately I visited the place in the mid afternoon for a cup of coffee and a muffin. I was the only patron but the waitress behind the counter was too busy talking on her mobile to pay attention to the only customer. Crumbs every on the floor and all the tables with something on it from crumbs, to cups or used napkins from previous visitors. I finally got what I asked and attempted to seat. She saw there was no clean table but made no effort to assist. I had to go and take more paper napkins and clean on of the table facing Center Street. As I was seating I saw more crumbs and the worn out pillows topping the chairs. Lift up the cushion to shaken off the crumbs and while could not remove it completely due to the ties to the chair I could see what underneath. I left disgusted! Regrettably, unless they begin some serious cleaning, and improve the service it is not the place I recommend going.
