What a great place. Very large clean and comfortable room. Across the street from the beach, about 10 minutes from downtown Fernandina. Very reasonable prices for the quality. Highly recommend. Very nice hot breakfast.

Room Tip: Be sure to visit downtown Fernandina.

If your expectations are right for this island, this is a great motel.
We normally like staying ocean front, unobstructed balcony onto the beach. I don't think that is available at Amelia Island, unless you rent a condo or stay at the Ritz or the Omni.
So this is the next best thing: varying levels of ocean view, varying room sizes (I don't think suites are necessarily larger), next to a public parking lot and park. The view is obstructed by either an attached condo or the park, or a bar/restaurant called Sandy Bottoms.
We were happy not to pay for the balcony room, as we were not interested in perching above the parking lot.
Swimming pool is very small and above ground between the condo and the hotel. You cannot see or hear the ocean from the pool area.
Rooms are very clean, and the staff was helpful and proficient. Our room had three issues--one, it did not have a dresser for storage, so we hung up a few items in the tiny closet and had to live out of our suitcases. Two, no hooks anywhere. Nothing would dry out --- this got really annoying. Three- blinds on the windows but no drapes, making it very hard to sleep in (as in after sunrise).
Breakfast is included and is very good--eggs and pancakes, bacon and sausage, all cooked to order while you wait. There is also an assortment of breads, fruit salad, cereal, coffee and tea. Pete made even a non-morning person like me smile, and the breakfast area was pleasant, with the Jax newspaper available. My only suggestions here would be to switch from styrofoam products to paper, and have the coffee and tea available in the lobby throughout the day, at least in the offseason.
This seems like a great place for kids--the beach is great (no lifeguard through, at least not in April), great park with mini golf, a playground, and a burger place right next door, and no streets to cross.
For older folk, there is an elevator and AARP/aaa rates are available. The Seniors just loved the big dining table at breakfast, they were having a blast.
The beach itself is beautiful-- wide and sandy, even at high tide. I did not see chair or umbrella rentals, but you can rent a picnic shelter next door at the park. The historic area is about 7-8 minutes drive. Lots of dining options and shopping. There is also a Civil War fort and beach around the corner from the property.
Overall a very nice stay and I hope we can go back soon.

Our stay for our honeymoon was great! So clean and our room had the most awesome view! We will definitely stay here again. The rooftop deck was one of our favorite spots and breakfast was just right!! :)

Seaside Amelia is a stone's throw from the beach in a lovely location close to restaurants and other amenities. The suite we had was quite spacious and included a separate bedroom and living area with microwave and small refrigerator and 2 flat screen TV's. The decor is appealing and fresh. The made to order FREE breakfast is wonderful and the lobby area is lovely. The service is professional, accommodating and friendly. Visit the rooftop sitting area and bring a drink with you. It's quite nice at sunset.

Great oceanfront location. We had a 374 SF oceanview suite, nicely appointed and very clean. Two flat screen TV's and free Wi-Fi. Free breakfast cooked to order each morning by either DJ or Pete. Bring your own cocktails to the sunset roof for your own happy hour. Rooms normally rent for $210 to $250. We got a deal from Travelzoo for $99. Front desk clerk advised us that they offer deals thru Travelzoo and Groupon from time to time. Fast, professional and courteous service. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Check out the website prior to arrival. They offer 4-5 different rooms. Some rooms smaller than othe...

We stay on Amelia Island a few times a year. Our usual place was booked so we thought we would give this Inn a try. It has great location on the beach, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very small and something was wrong with the tile on the shower floor. It looked like it was peeling. Mold in the shower and the bathroom needed a good cleaning. Could not open the bathroom door all the way, it would hit the bed.
The breakfast was nice and the little balcony was a nice extra.

But Clean is a must. Not sure I would stay there again just because the bathroom really needs work.

Dear Billntina,

Thank you for your recent visit with us. Your compliments on our front desk service is greatly appreciated and I have shared it with our team. As our valued guest, your feedback is very important to us. We have investigated the opportunities that you have noted and saw that you have stayed in one of the room where the shower were regrouted in darker color. The stand-up showers in some of the bathrooms on the second floor were mistakenly regrouted with darker grout by the contractors during the first phase of renovation. We are currently resolving this matter by retiling our shower floor with Marble Mosaic tile and re grouting all the walls. The room you stayed in was already scheduled for bathroom renovation on Sunday, April 26th. Thank you for your feedback and we hope for a second opportunity to earn your business.

Sincerely,
Olivia R. Hoblit

Beautiful, clean, friendly, and a lovely hotel on the beach. The hotel has its own upscale personality that is relaxing, convenient, comfortable, and unique. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I recommend you stay on the upper floors for the ocean view. We also enjoyed the restaurant next door, Sandy Bottoms. It was very good and convenient. You can park in the underground garage or there are a few spaces in the back of the hotel. We will definitely return, as this was a true gem to spend our vacation at.

Room Tip: Try to reserve a room on the Upper floors and if you cannot stay on an upper floor, there is a rooft...
