“Smaller groups on airboats provide a more personal experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2014 NEW

Captain Jacks is a little different that some of the airboat tours we have taken. Smaller boats that seat 6 and views of birds that I have not been fortunate to see (Roseate Spoonbill) in the wild made this facility worth a top rating. In addition to the alligators, we saw dolphins and stopped at a mangrove area where the captain provided an interaction with raccoons. The little masked critters are familiar with the airboat runs and wait in the trees for treats.
They have recently merged with Wootens and offer an animal sanctuary tour included with your mangrove airboat ride. The alligator handler at the sanctuary knows his reptiles...don't miss this part of the "adventure!" You'll get an up close and personal interaction with an alligator that you are not likely to forget! Photographs are allowed and encouraged...just don't forget to tip as there is no additional charge for the experience. Bring some cat/dog food kibbles along to feed the fish in the lagoon...there are some amazingly BIG fish in that water that will come up to the surface to grab the food. We were given some food to feed the fish while waiting for a group but I don't know how often this happens...bring your own and leave nothing to chance. Just remember to keep some for the fish and don't let the raccoons have it all.
Staff are friendly and courteous. Check the website for a coupon to reduce your admission cost.

“Boat Ride (jet)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2014 NEW

We look at several different places and chose Capt Jack's. Our boat Capt was Gary, he was very knowledgeable of the area and wildlife and the boat ride was outstanding alone. He even took a group pic of the 5 of us. High marks, love it.

“AWESOME!! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2014

We just did this airboat tour today. We did the 1hr mangrove your, it was a ton of fun! While waiting we got to hold a baby gator and that was neat! The staff were all very friendly and professional. Our captain was James, and he was very friendly and informative. A pelican landed our boat right after take off and stayed until we got into the opening for the mangroves. He was a little scary but makes for a great story. We got to see a family of raccoons and a bunch of different birds. Sadly no gators. But it was still a lot of fun! We went really fast and some water got on board but that's to be expected. Great fun for families. It was myself, boyfriend, his mom, and my 11 year old niece. She had fun despite a water phobia. I highly recommend!

“Great fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2014

We found on the Internet and got a discount.
We found our Captain really great and knowledgeable about the wildlife.
We only saw one alligator but the boat ride was so much fun and he certainly knew how to handle the boat. The spins in the water were a real adrenaline fix.
We stopped at "raccoon island" he fed them mints. For us this was such a treat to be able to see the wildlife up close and in its natural habitat. We all got excellent photos.
After the airboat ride we went to their sanctuary to view more alligators and got to hold a baby one.
We don't have wildlife like this at home so it was money well spent for us.
I have seen some negative reviews on this company but for us we really enjoyed our day and I still have a smile from it.
Thank you Captain Jacks
The highlight for us was experiencing the wil
