Has anyone ever told you that you must pay $5 simply to look at their establishment? Unbelievable? Read on.
One star would rate this place too highly. I didn’t even get to eat there, because when we visited the club on May 2nd, the bad manners of the employees were such that I had to cancel plans for a graduation dinner there the following week for my two children.
I made that visit with my brother, his wife and my daughter, in order to have a last look at the restaurant in advance of finalizing plans. But our way to the largely vacant dining room was blocked by a sullen waitress and two other employees, who stated that unless we paid a $5 fee (for each of us?) or bought food or drink, we could not enter.
Not believing my ears, and since we had not enough time even for a drink, I politely explained my plans, requesting quite reasonably to have a brief look around. Instead of smile and a welcome, we were given surly stares and a renewed demand to pay $5.
When I declined, the four of us, all courteous people and appropriately dressed, were firmly marched out. It was a startlingly oafish response to people who committed the outlandish offense of trying to schedule a dinner at a restaurant. But, happily, I see I dodged a bullet, as from the reviews posted, the food seems as bad as the workers are rude.
