“Fishing and local lore with Cap't Rodney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

Recently spent a half-day fishing the backcountry with Rodney. My uncle and I enjoyed catching fish (keeping a couple of nice mangrove snappers) and hearing the local legends. Rodney is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, patient, and friendly. The boat ride through the waterways was glorious and Rodney took the time to explain and show us local fishing techniques. My husband and I spend the winter on Chokoloskee Island, and I will definitely be booking another trip with Rodney next season. Also, prices are reasonable and a great value for the money.

We asked capt Rondey if he could take our father to catch a snook and he sure did. We really enjoyed our trip.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Captain Rodney was polite, knowledgeable. Caught two great keepers: redfish and sheepshead. He knew where to go and what to fish with. We had a wonderful time. Weather was made to order. Loved the 10,000 Islands location.

“Great Fishing in Everglades Back Country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

On Sunday February 9, 2014 we had a great 1/2 day fishing trip with Captain Rodney. We were very impressed with his ability to travel through all of these waterways and find so many good fishing spots . You could tell he spends many hours searching out and mapping the sites he takes you for fishing. His knowledge and enthusiasm for this are impressive. We caught a nice variety of fish for just a half day of fishing. We do a lot of fishing on our own but we always learn a new technique or something new about bait and tackle every time we fish with Rodney. We are looking forward to going with him again.

“Boating with Captain Rodney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

We had a great half-day with Capt. Rodney. My son and I were Watson tourists, and Capt. Rodney ran us down to Watson’s Place by way of the Lopez Place. He was knowledgeable regarding the history, locale and fauna. Then we fished. It was a thoroughly enjoyable backcountry experience. He filleted the catch and told us where we could have it cooked for lunch, which we did.
