“we liked it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

We were on holiday for a few days in the area after spending 9 days in Orlando and honestly we loved the place. True, it was a bit more expensive than a lot of the chain restaurants we dined in Orlando but the food was just so much better. I had a grilled baramundi and it was awesome. My husband and daughters loved their dish too. There is nothing I can fault this place with. Our waiter Nick was friendly and genuinly interested. As said slightly more expensive than some of the other places we went to but compared to the Europe prices we're used to, it was great value for money. Great experience.

Dear “We Liked It,”

Thank you so much for pointing out Nick, he is a great server! Although, we might be slightly more expensive than the chains (Bonefish and Red Lobster), it’s because we don’t buy frozen fish. We pride ourselves on buying the freshest fish available as far away as Hawaii, Boston and France (and just right around the corner, from Ft. Myers and Naples!) In fact, if you compare us to fine dining restaurants who offer the same products, most think of us as incredibly cheap! Thanks again for your comments and we hope to see you on your next American journey.

“Never again!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

We are locals who have had more disappointing experiences here than good experiences. The one this evening is the final one. The food is at best mediocre and inconsistent. The wine list is way overpriced. $54 for Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc...give me a break. The waiter said it was "happy hour" and all drinks were half-price. He deceptively glossed over the fact that bottles of wine were not included in the half-price promo. Our guest ordered the wine. We ordered a take-out Caeser salad with grilled salmon. Didn't look at it before leaving. When we opened it at home there was about a cup of lettuce, a few sprinkles of cheese and three croutons accompanied by burned salmon....$24.50. Went back to the restaurant to talk to the manager about the deceptive wine order and the take-out salad. He had no interest in accomodating us or making it right. In fact he was down right arguementative. After offering to issue a credit for the salad and "adjust" the wine, he came back and said he decided not to adjust the wine. We asked him to bring the waiter up and he admitted he may have "mumbled" that the bottles of wine weren't included in the half-price promo. We'll never go back.

Dear “Never again!!,”

Well what can we say... starting off we don’t know of too many places that during Happy Hour routinely offer ½ off on bottles of wine. If for some reason you felt that we were offering ½ priced bottles of wine we would love to hear how? (what kind of restaurants do you normally go to that offer that type of discount?) As far as the wine itself, what you failed to state in your comment is that the Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc for $54 was actually their top of the line (icon) single vineyard showcase sauvignon blanc (not one of those entry level wines) a great deal for the price. The reason that the manager did not want to offer you anything for the wine was because you were absolutely wrong. Sometimes it seems there are always two sides to every story. In this case, you are being unfair.

“Not what we expected”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

Way over-priced! I did not like my diner and the portions leave you feeling hungry when you're done. We don't mind paying for great food and great service. Just didn't happen here for us.

Dear “Not what we expected,”

So sorry to think we’re overpriced with a $3.99 Sugar Shack Shrimp appetizer, hamburgers and lots of low cost options including 6 wines for 6 dollars, we’re a bit amiss on what you feel is overpriced. Please contact us so we can talk further because we want to get you back!

“Nice relaxed outdoor dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

I ate the best calamari I have ever tasted here. Lots of locals use this place so that's a good sign. There are a few alternatives on the same strip but we were happy we decided to eat here. There was music about to start as we left. It was busy and could have benefited from a few more tables and chairs.

“Great Place to Dine Alfresco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

I took some business clients to this restaurant. Sat outside on a very nice evening and spent several hours dining on very good food. Fresh oysters for the Northeast & British Columbia were exceptional. Entrees were very well received and the lobster baked potato was a must try. This is a guilty pleasure in a bit of a kid way with a cheese sauce. Desserts were amazing, the key lime pie, carrot cake and the peanut butter pie, WOW! Happy hour here is an extraordinary value as well.
