What a great Englewood Florida experience! The location is near everything from the funky shops and restaurants of historic Dearborn Street to the swimming and sailing (or simply sitting in the sun) on one of Englewood's four terrific beaches.

Our cottage was clean, well-maintained and the owners (Joe and Melabeth) went beyond the call to ensure that our two week stay was safe, comfortable, and relaxing.

The Internet availability in the rooms and the courtyard is a fantastic plus!!! (After all, where would I be without my email connection!)

We think that Joe is the most hospitable host anywhere and highly recommend a stay at the Englewood Bay Motel & Apartments.

Our stay at Englewood Bay Motel and Apartments could not have been better. Our unit was clean and comfortable - Perfect for 2 who need their space. The common areas were inviting and we cooked on the grill almost everynight. We met other guest of the Motel and apartments and enjoyed speaking to them about their daily adventures. Joe and his staff could not have been more helpful - we really felt like a memeber of the family. This place was so convenient. We loved the short drive to Englewood beach and cute "old englewood village " for breakfast and shopping.
We will be back next year !

We needed a break from Vermont’s endless winter and its worst flu season ever, and so we decided last-minute to book an economical and restful week on the Gulf Coast. If you’re looking for low-key, high-value respite, you can’t beat Englewood. Nestled between Venice and Boca Grande, Englewood has a small town, real Florida feel. The beaches of Manasota Key are terrific, and Dearborn Street boasts a nice selection of local area businesses. We stayed at Englewood Bay Motel and Apartments, with host Joe Grippi, who provided a wealth of useful tips regarding area activities and resources. Our accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and clean. You’ll want a car to get to and from the beaches, but we loved our stay and found everything we could want or need in the local environs. For a wonderful jewel hidden amongst its glitzier neighbors, try the town of Englewood, and specifically, the Englewood Bay Motel and Apts and Mangos Bistro.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo style apartment for a week at Christmas time 2007. Very clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything for cooking. Such friendly and accomodating owners made the stay even more enjoyable. This is located on a quite street you can walk across to watch the sunset and we even saw dolphins in the channel one evening.
