“Great place to watch the sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Love to come here in the evening to watch the sunset. Not crowded at all. Nice beach but lots of shells to walk over on the way to the water. Plenty of free parking across the street but use caution and there are curves in both directions and it's hard to see cars coming. There are restrooms and an outside shower as well as a few benches on the short walk from the parking lot.

“More natural beach with shells & shark teeth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

A great beach with a brand new facilities that was just put in. Restrooms are roomy and nice and all of the boardwalks, and showers are brand new. There is plenty of close in handicap parking, and regular parking (which is free, not like Englewood beach) across a non-busy street. The beach front is not very wide, so it is an easy walk to the water if you have difficulty walking. My wife and I enjoy this beach because of how natural the surroundings are. It is not like many of the beaches north of Sarasota with yucky high rises that block the morning sun. It has a life guard station for additional safety. It is a little tougher to find then some of the other beaches, but it is well worth it. After or before, stop at the bars and restaurants on Dearborn street for a taste of old Florida.

“Beautiful Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

This is a great beach, there's plenty of space to relax without any overcrowding. The kids spent hours looking for shark teeth and shells and found loads. The sea is nice and clear although I didn't really fancy taking a dip after finding so many shark teeth! We saw rays and dolphins just off the shore and watched an amazing sunset in the evening. It's definitely worth a visit!

“Nicely renovated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Great newly renovated bathroom/shower facilities, nice picnic shelters and tables. Really great handicap ONLY parking right at the beachfront/facilities. And of course the water and beach is great too.

“Manasota Beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The area around Venice is one continuous beach! We have visited all of them and our favorite is Manasota! It used to be easier to find parking there but now it is difficult. Sometimes you have to follow someone that is going to their car to find a place to park! Once we were going to park over in the boat launch area and were told by an officer we were not allowed to and he was going to ticket everyone that was parked there that did not have a boat trailer! We asked where we could park and he said "There is a place 2 miles down the road you can park" Really! I want to schlep my beach stuff that far. The newly built restroom facility, the new pavilions, the shark's teeth in the sidewalk, the two outside showers, the lifeguard station, the boardwalk are all very nice! Well done! Manasota Beach is a little slice of heaven!
