“A step back in civil war history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

The inexpensive guided tour tells about the history of the pre-bellum plantation and its real attachment to confederate history. Very good

very impressed and because of going there with my folks years ago-
they chose the cemetary to the rear to be near your grounds.

“pretty good tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

I can't say it is worth driving out of your way but the tour was about 45 minutes and fairly informative. The building is in decent shape considering when it was built. They could do more with the tour - show something about how sugar cane is processed, civil war info, etc. - otherwise an hour to hour and 1/2 is about all you can do at this site. The small museum was nice and air conditioned as well. If doing this tour in the summer I'd recommend doing the early tour as there is no AC in the main house. Also, bring some water, there is a fountain but no bottled water for sale on the grounds.

“A walk into Florida's Anti-Belluim Past”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

Gamble Mansion is like stepping through a curtain and into the distant past. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, and the house is gorgeous. It is one of the most beautiful sights in the area for a wedding and it is not unusual to see weddings being held over the weekends. Well worth the visit- education and nature all in one place.
