I brought my missions team here. It's the best deal you can get near Panama City Beach.
Diane the manager was extremely welcoming and kind, and even let one of my team members use her personal wifi hotspot so that he could turn in his homework for an online college class. (There was no motel wifi available at the time, only a desktop computer in the office had internet).
Diane also helped me with tips on where to go near the beach (she suggested the pier). This motel is about 20-25 minutes from the beach, which is totally worth it if you want to save the money. However, there are not really any restaurants in the area, so we ended up eating quite far away from the motel for dinner. (Unless you want Subway which is adjacent to the motel in a gas station.)
The rooms were nice. Remember this is a motel, not a hotel. The TV wasn't working very well. I was told that lightning struck recently which damaged the wifi and the TV. Some bugs were flying around the lights outside our door, and a few got into the room which we killed. One of our three rooms had a cockroach, too. Directly behind the motel is a dog race park, so the announcer and other sounds can be heard from the back parking lot, but I couldn't hear anything from inside the room.
So, if you don't mind driving to the beach instead of walking to it (by the way, parking is free at the mall across the street from the pier), and if you don't mind a few bugs outside your door, and you're not that into watching TV, then this place is a great deal. If you want all those amenities and are willing to shell out the extra cash, then you should book a hotel down at the beach.
Also, because it's such a great deal, make sure you reserve ahead of time. Don't expect to walk in and find vacancy.
