“Perfect Couples Retreat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

My husband and I decided, at the last minute, to spend a night at this hotel that I've driven past several times....it was absolutely PERFECT! We enjoyed our stay so much, that I cannot wait to get back there, and stay for several nights in a row next time : ) I have the postcard that they give you upon your departure, clearly displayed on my refrigerator, and remind my husband that this is exactly where I would like to be for our next romantic getaway.
The room was clean, fresh and welcoming. The view of the gulf and the sound of the waves crashing was serene and peaceful. The amenities at Henderson Park Inn were outstanding. The service was unbeatable. The gourmet food was cooked to perfection! You don't need a car when you get there - just park and enjoy everything you could need/want right there. No crying children was a plus! The common area of the back deck with swings and a tiki bar was just perfect for relaxing and chatting with others who were thoroughly enjoying one another's company, and the view couldn't be beat.
We simply can't wait to get back to this boutique hotel on the gulf!!!

Room Tip: The corner room on the 3rd floor in the hotel adjacent to the main building is where I'd like to...

I wanted again, to write to y'all and THANK you so very much for your kind and wonderful keeping of us. Our stay at the Henderson Park Inn, is at the least, hard to put into even Several words.

First off, our room was wonderful. Being right above the beach was a treat, resting and sleeping listening to the waves was one of the MANY memories we will keep. The cleaning ladies ( I am ashamed I did not get their names) must be PSYCHIC, even when we were around most of the day they found a way to sneak in and tidy up the room! The wine, grapes, chocolates on the bed each evening, the water, sodas, snacks, etc (yeah I CAN be long winded) were all such a nice amenity.
But, everyone that we came in contact with, even briefly, were so kind and very much seemed that they were happy that we were there. I also noticed this is how they treated all of the guests that I also saw them having interaction with. Having myself managed, in the business for some time, this is a trait that is wonderful to see and not often attained. From the maintenance personnel that we came in contact briefly, to the housekeepers, even in passing we were always offered a smile and hello. What a treat!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 109 in the East Building. It was perfect for us, away from all yet only a short wa...

This was our first visit to the Henderson Park Inn. We were celebrating my wife's 70th birthday. Upon arrival we found our room meticulously clean and neat. Wine, cheese and chocolates was a special touch. All staff were extremely pleasant, but wanted to give special recognition to Heather. As she ran an errand on her own time to get flowers and champagne at the request of my son-in-law. This was special. Food was fantastic. All chefs are great cooks and very pleasant people. We dined in @Beach Walk one night and that was a taste delight. Look forward to visiting again next year.

Room Tip: Stayed on second floor facing Henderson State Park (SW) I think. Also think it was an Executive Sui...

Just got back after 6 days at Henderson Park Inn and I have to say that we had read all the reviews on Tripadvisor before going, and I have to agree it is truly a very special place. Beginning with your greetings by the front desk people it was amazing. The people there could not be any nicer and the general manager, Ryan, of Henderson Park Inn does an outstanding job of running the operations there. The room that we stayed in #110 was beautiful and the balconey was literally only about 30 yards from the waters edge. Everything that you need is right there ,starting from the amazing breakfast buffet continuing with a great box lunch (not your typical box lunch by the way) and than at night a dinner at the Inn's Beachwalk Cafe. INCREDIBLE! The Inn is beautiful inside and out. This is the place for couples to celebrate and reconnect from everyday life. We plan on coming back to celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2 years... Can't wait! Just want to thank everybody at the Inn for making this vacation so wonderful.

Room Tip: Any room facing the Gulf

This was our first time in Destin and at The Inn. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. You pay a bit more but you do get a wonderful breakfast and lunch everyday without having to shop, cook or leave the beauty of the beach. We borrowed bikes and went for rides almost daily. We had great weather and a thoroughly enjoyable stay. You don't have to fight for chairs, towels or anything for that matter. There's plenty for all.
We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Its just about price and availability. The third floor room with the mini balcony had beautiful view...

My husband and I stayed at Henderson Park Inn for 4 days and 3 nights and enjoyed every single minute of it. Our room was an Executive Suite located on the 2nd floor of the main building and it was absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable. Very large room and bathroom, the king size bed and pillows were comfy and the large balcony was a great place to spend some time in the early morning enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the dolphins swim. We parked it on the beach all 4 days. Lovely little set up on the private beach out there. You don't have to fight for chairs and umbrellas. There is plenty for everyone. And the beach towels provided are very luxurious. This place doesn't skimp! We appreciated the box lunches each day, healthy and very satisfying. And the breakfast was very well done too!

We knew going in to the trip that we didn't want to leave the property.....and we never did once. We had reservations at Beach Walk Cafe Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and enjoyed every meal. The Chef has it going on! We never got bored with eating there and were blown away with every dish, every night. And the desserts?!?! A m a z i n g!!! You can't go wrong eating here, even if for just one night. I recommend getting a table outside and enjoy the sunset as you dine on delicious food and wine.

The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is very pleasant. No stone is left unturned here. If you're looking for a nice getaway in a small hotel/inn that is for adults only, beautiful accomodations, gorgeous white sand beach and incredible food...this place is it. We don't regret one penny spent here. More than just well worth it. We'll be back! Thank you Henderson Park Inn!

Room Tip: 2nd floor bedrooms in the main building have larger balconies!

We took a long weekend here at the recommendation of friends. They were right! It's rare Inn with an unmatched staff. It's directly on the beach and adjacent to a vacant state park beach.
They set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you everyday and fix you a great picnic lunch for the beach. Happy hour everyday and it is indeed happy. The best staff I have ever encountered at a hotel anywhere in the world. The restaurant is one of the best in Destin.

Room Tip: only one building has an elevator.
