Love the Henderson Beach Inn. We where married here in 2001 and try to make a visit a few years. The staff is wonderful and very friendly . Love the fact you don't have have to leave the property if you chose not too! Breakfast is amazing and the box lunch are a treat as well. On the flip side there are a few things that have been overlooked....in room 302 the pillows where flat as pancakes and the bed has lost all the springs in it. One chair looked like a dog had been gnawing on it . Other then that a nice room with a great view. One more point is the dining room beams are in need of a good dusting, the dust was hanging from them and for some one with OCD, not a good thing. But after all is said and done ,we would return over and over again!

We were excited to spend our honeymoon at Henderson Park Inn in Sept of 2012. As we were driving to our wedding destination in another state we got a call our honeymoon suite (Presidential Suite) had been doubled book, I had reservations almost a year in advance. Once we arrived there an employee let us know we were bumped because the owner decided to stay there in the suite we had reserved, so we were given another room, not a suite. They gladly moved us the next day to our Presidential Suite. I was so excited, but upon entering the suite the musty smell was almost overwhelming. It was like I had booked a room in my college library. Yes the walls were high, the view was great, but nothing like we had expected especially for the price. The drinks in our small refrigerator, many were out of date, several were from Christmas, this was September! We found out early you had to get to beach early for chairs, they were short on beach chairs that week, and although we were not supposed to save chairs with towels, etc. many did. We are in our 40's and found most other visitors were 60 plus. Happy hour was limited, to only a few type of drinks. The food was good and the cooks were very nice. For the money there are a lot of better places in Destin, that are kept up, painted, and smell a lot better. If I had allergy problems there would have been no way we could have continued to stay in the Presidential suite. I would never recommend this Inn, way over priced for the quality.

I am extremely sorry that this guest did not enjoy their stay. We did double book their room, which was 100% our fault. We comped their first night, over $500, and gave them a gift card to our "fine dining" restaurant. The guests seemed extremely happy, after taking care of their night and dinner, and we never heard any of these negatives until just now, 5 months after their stay. We strive to make sure our guests have the best experience of their lives and take great pride in doing that. As you can read from the many reviews, this was an isolated event. We are sorry this guest did not have a great stay.

I want to thank the staff at the Henderson Park Inn for excellent customer service. From the moment we walked in we received full attention and care. Our room was beautiful with a bottle of red wine and chocolates waiting on us.I found it hard to leave to explore the area as I was totally spoiled and relaxed staying right where I was. Did a cooking class with Chef Greg. He was so entertaining and the dish was delicious complimented by all you can drink Bloody Mary's. Yummy! They referred the lovely Jen to come and give us an in-room massages followed by a gourmet in-room dinner. Tamee and Natalie at the front desk was always ready to answer any questions or give suggestions. Their friendly upbeat personalities made every one feel right at home. All of this was topped with long relaxing walks on the beach, great weather and some Vitamin D on the skin. Just what the Doctor ordered. A Delightful break from the every day hustle! Thank You Team Henderson Park Inn.
PS. We were also lucky enough to see the CEO, Ryan Olin, being interviewed as they were nominated one of the Top 10 Most Romantic Hotels in the USA by Trip Advisor. This trip was with a very dear girlfriend. I look forward to returning with a Valentine soon :-)

We stayed at the Henderson Park Inn in February 2012 and returned this year. This is a wonderful property and the management and staff are exceptionally thoughtful. For example, a truly spectacular breakfast comes with your stay and the breakfast chef is makes sure you are perfectly content. For example, the first morning there, I ordered an unsweet iced tea with no lemon. For the rest of the stay, after confirming I would like one, the staff had it all ready to bring out - that's top notch service I think. A "boxed" lunch also comes with your stay for each day you're there. The beach is beautiful. The Inn is right next to a gulf front park so you can walk along the beach where there are no condos and hotels. The Inn also provides free bicycles for guests and there is an excellent bike/walking path across the street from the beach that makes for a great outing. The food at supper is also excellent and thoughtful. The rooms are lovely and all look out on the Gulf. Things are spotlessly clean too. Some of the furniture is a bit banged up but that can be normal wear and tear. It may seem pricey when you make a reservation but you get the breakfast, lunch, free happy hour and cookies too. You'll really love your stay if you go there.

Room Tip: The main inn building does not have an elevator but the east building does in case you're worryi...

I wanted Anniversary # 48 to be SPECIAL and Indeed it was . The Henderson Park Inn Experience was more than we expected. The setting, the staff and the overall experience was well worth the trip. Ryan, the Innkeeper, does a great job. The staff could not have been more accomodating..Kathleen, Both Natalies, Tamee, the Bar staff and the Kitchen staff were all 10's !!!I'm already looking forward to Anniversary #49 !!!!!

My husband and I chose this small B & B based on other tripadvisor ratings. We were not disappointed! The white sandy beach was deserted this time of year and I loved walking each day. Every single room at the hotel faces the beach, so we awoke to the sound of the surf. Wonderful breakfast and a big plus is the lunches that are prepared and left for pickup anytime in the afternoon. We enjoyed the lunches after our golf outings also, watched a movie one night from their collection and enjoyed a few nights of their happy hour with free wine, beer and mixed drinks. Would we return? Absolutely, and we will come in the winter!

Destin Beach has become a conglomeration of high rise hotels and condos but there is still one place to step back and relax away from the crowds. The Henderson Park Inn is situated next to the State Park sharing its name. The Inn is a lovely, romantic repose complete with spacious rooms with balconies.
We enjoyed the complementary wine and delicious grapes while sitting on our balcony enjoying a gorgeous sunset. Complementary breakfast includes delicious cooked to order omlets and waffles. Dinner was slightly pricey but the presentation was perfect and each course was absolutely delicious. Recommend smokey tomato soup with shrimp, Crab Cakes with undetectable filler, warm spinach salad, and banana merengue pie to die for. Personel very friendly and accomodating.
