“A feel-good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

This is a “feel good” hotel where we had the chance to actually relax. Friendly, very accommodating personnel, excellent room service, clean. I woke up every morning with a cup of starbucks espresso from the hotel’s Bistro, looked from the balcony at the golf course and packed for one of the many Destin’s beaches.

The hotel is on the road and not on the beach. The access to the nearest beach, across the road, has been discontinued by HOA in mid May. This gave us the opportunity to explore different beaches from Sandestin to Ft. Walton and we were never bored.

Not all windows in this Marriott can be opened so choose a room with balcony if you wish to fully enjoy your stay. I never stay in a hotel room in which I cannot open windows, since it resemble a gas chamber.

This was our second stay at Sandestin Marriott Courtyard and I would return again. If I need a real sea beach experience, however, I would choose hotel or condo directly on the beach.

We needed a place to stay for one night so I got this hotel from Priceline. It was a nice hotel, Exactly what you would expect from Marriott , but for the price I thought it was very expensive for what they offer Amenities wise.
The room from Priceline was around 160 and the rate directly from Marriott was over 200. It was nowhere near the beach did not have room service and it had a very small café and small pool.

I would not recommend this hotel for a vacation destination but is probably fine for business travel. But again I will state, it is extremely expensive for the location

I stayed here for a conference at Linkside Golf Course. It is a nice hotel. Close (walking Distance) to some nice restaurants, (Mitchell's Seafood, PF Chang's, Tommy Bahama's, Flemings) and a new Carmike movie theatre. The pool was nice, not terribly big. The Village (or Baytown Wrarf) is not terribly close (I timed it, it is a 12 minute walk-run from the village where all the restaurants and bars in san destin) to the hotel. the limitation is that there are no direct beach access. they recommend some beaches you can drive to a little farther, because I stayed at the conference, I was able to just cross the street and get to the beach. the rooms were nice, comfortable, restaurant downstairs had a good bagel sandwich and starbuck's coffee. Free Parking, which is nice compared to other marriots, I would definitely stay here again for the same conference. also if I had a conference at the village or baytown wharf.

Room Tip: upper level was nice

Chose this hotel from the three which Wyndham Vacation Resorts offered and glad I did. Check-in was fast and friendly, the staff making sure any questions were answered and that I was familiar with their amenities and nearby offerings. Through out my stay, the staff went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable, and I appreciated how they remembered my name. Food and beverage service in the lobby bar and bistro were good. Enjoyed having free wi-fi and use of the lobby computers as well. Pool was excellent and so was the hot-tub. While the hotel is not on the beach, you are only minutes away and they provide maps to the public access points. Parking is close to the entrance, and there is an Applebee's next door if you chose to dine close by. Loved it all!

If you want to stay near the beach, instead of on the beach, then this is the perfect Marriott for you!
Miramar Beach is only a five minute drive away. It's not as commercialized as Panama City Beach but just as beautiful with white sands and emerald water. Saks, Wilson Leather, Tumi, Nike, Ann Taylor, D&B, Clarks Shoes, Levy to name a few of the outlets at Silver Strands are just two stop lights away.
Chain restaraunts and local restaraunts are close by and don't forget to ask the front desk about Baytowne Wharf - great place for kids and adults.
My room was clean and nicely furnished with the usual Marriott stuff. I am a Platinum, long standing Marriott Member but could not get an upgrade. I am pretty sure that I was eligible for free breakfast but this was never mentioned. The was a Bistro on site with the usual food and Starbucks products.
The staff were all pleasant. The fresh smell as you enter the hotel is very welcoming.
I would definately stay here again.

A nice hotel with all the typical Courtyard ammenities. Staff was great in the midst of construction but had a great room on sale and used some points for another night. Good place for a business trip and not far from the beaches.

I have stayed at this location the last 3 January's. I stay for 5 days and on my return the General Manager remembers my name and the staff for the most part is the same. The service is great, the rooms beautiful and the restaurant very good. I will continue to stay at this location and recommend you do the same!
