This resort is on the grounds of beautiful Sandestin about 8 miles from Destin. The Silver Sands Outlet is about 5 mins down the road. Shopping galore!!! Coach, Dooney & Burke, Juicy Couture, Polo, Michael Kors, Addidas, etc. There's also the regular mall on hwy98 Destin Commons.

We also decided to do a dophin tour on jet skis with Gilligan's Watersports which is a good ways down the road into Destin which was horrible....I don't know how to swim but my boyfriend does. I was assured it would be fine as long as I had a life jacket. Our tour group was only us and another couple. Apparently we didn't drive fast enough and the tour guide left us. We were in the middle of the ocean. Very very far from the coastline. Its was horrific. I paniced so bad when I realized we were alone and I couldn't even see where the tour guide was in all the open water. Once we finally flagged him down my boyfriend told him and his response was just drive back to the place and gave directions. Thats it. No help or anything. Once back at the shack no one offered help or assurance or anything. There is absolutely too much open water to be out without a lifeguard reguardless if you can swim or not its very dangerous.

Theres a tram (bus) stop about 2 minutes walking distance from the resort that will bring you to the beach across the street on the other side of the Sandestin resort and the Baytown Wharf. Baytown wharf has shops, restaurants, bars, live music nightly, and a play area for children.

There is no Housekeeping during the stay but there is a washer/dryer to wash the towels. The kitchen is stocked with Kitchenwares to cook meals. There is also a complete dining area. And balcony. There is a dvd player in living room. The sofa opens to a bed. The condo is HUGE. The Master bath is so luxurious. Theres a walkin shower and jacuzzi tub both large enough for 2 people.

We will definitely be visting EVERY YEAR!! I haven't even 1 complaint from the resort everyone was very friendly and accomodating.

First of all this is much different than Bay Club 1. Bay club 1 is one bedrooms and they are older. Bay Club II has two bedroom units, two bathrooms. The furniture was nice and new and the unit was spacious. Appliances all new and good working order. Pots/Pans/Dishes all in good shape. Unit very clean. Check in good. There only a few units in a small building within a much larger community of condos. There is an amazing network of bike/jogging trails within the complex and all the way to the beach. We highly recommend renting bikes or bringing bikes (we used Coastal Cruisers). The beach was great. The only real downside of Wyndham Bay Club II is the pool/hot tub situation. Hot tubs- there are none. Pool, only one on the whole complex that is heated. Also there is support during business hours only. When I put in a service call during business hours the maintenance guy was there in about a minute. Off hours it can take much longer. I was there with my college age daughter. Minimal night life unless you want to drive a bit. Great for families. I didn't golf but observed golf parties with younger kids playing with older family members.

This is a small resort on the beautiful complex of Baytowne. It is on the Bay and some rooms face the Bay, others face the parking lot. There is a small pool. The rooms are very spacious and clean, newly renovated. Just steps away is a great breakfast restaurant, Another Broken Egg, Try the crabcake with crabcakes cavallo (yummy). There are miles of walking, jogging, or biking paths. You have beach access at the Hilton.

We went with friends and had a 2-bedroom unit which was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The unit was nicely furnished. It is well located, but a car is necessary to get anywhere other than just around the resort, which is huge. Many great jogging and walking areas. Pool is outdoor and unheated. Staff at desk are unhelpful and don't have much information, but one can get the information elsewhere. Two restaurants on site. We didn't try either but they looked good. Great grounds and great unit!

This is a very quiet resort. The resort is situated on 2,400 acres just 8 miles from Destin. There are sidewalks everywhere; you can walk through a tunnel that goes under 98, and walk all the way to the beach. Walking slowly, the walk is a 20 minute walk to the beach. You can drive to the beach as well, and be there in about 3 minutes. Parking at the beach was free for resort guest, and guest could also use a bathroom facility near the beach.

If you are a golfer, then this is a great resort for you. Not only can you golf, but you also have access to many miles of beach. Wednesday the maids come in and exchange towels, and pick up all the trash. The unit has plenty of space, also has washer / dryer in each unit.

The beds were not that great, and the shower appears to have “water-savers” installed so there wasn’t much pressure. However, everything was clean and appears to be a fairly new resort. Parking we plentiful, and there were lots of places to eat. Also, there was a Publix within a mile, and even a Wal-Mart within 1 ½ miles. There is a Starbucks on property, and one across the street that you can stop off and have coffee while walking to the beach.

We would certainly consider coming back to this resort.

The rooms are newly renovated and very nice. 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (and the master bath is amazing) and nice full kitchen and living room. There are 3 big flat screen tvs for rainy days and a washer/dryer. The sandestin resort is great just make sure you bring a car because everything is spread out and you will need to leave the resort.

we have been to BAy Club II many times and like it more each trip. There is lots to do on the resort property. We liked the biking and park when it was not beach weather. For a beach it is gorgeous but lots of people during the first week of April for spring break. Multi[le pools are available and very nice.
The condo itself is immaculate and nicely furnished. staff is very accomodating.

Room Tip: we use our wyndham vacation points to book this.
