We have been dinning at Captain Dave's for years. It has been one of our favorite family and couples dinning restaurants in the area. Typically, we have enjoyed our experiences (except the casual, poor attitude at the reception desk) and we have always tried to eat at Captain Dave's when we're on the Gulf, going later in the evening when it is only adults to avoid the noisier environment. Particularly, the Red Snapper and shrimp are very good, and their Snapper Dijon is one of my favorite seafood dishes. Service has been generally good, but it can be irregular. Our last two visits, earlier in the year and this summer, caused us to question the commitment of the restaurant to quality. Our service in June was marginal, and the food does not seem to be as we'll prepared as in the past. The difference is not great but noticeable. We will visit Captain Dave's again, but we are going to pay attention to the relative quality. In the mean time, I recommend that you trait. Seated next to the large window, the view is really nice.
